Yeah, I hear very good things about him and his products. How did they come out? Very excited to get mine installed.

The black flares make it look like your wheel well gap is huge. They blend in.

 

Ya , that’s one thing I noticed also.

 

I rented a gear puller and it worked well. I pressed it out oat of the way with the ball joint press but it seized badly since I was giving it the beans with my impact wrench. Gearpuller took over nicely. On the second one I hit it with PB blaster a few times while I ate lunch and it came out very very easy.

Anyone else having issues with spare tire hitting shackles? I have 285/75-17, 1" Shackles.

 

Hitting the shackles or the bolts?

 

Driver side hits both while on ground and passenger side hits on full drop.

 

That doesn't sound right. Got any pictures?

 

Im curious also, i recently bought a spare rim and havent bought the tires yet. I have a 280/70/18.

 

It’s extremely close with 295/70/18 like less than a quarter inch on both sides. Without bending or cutting the tire guides

 

I hadn't thought of checking fitment with the spare. Just installed +3 and I know the leafs will contact the sway bar and TRD dual exhaust on full droop. At the the exhaust will give bit with the rubber hangers

those are of it sitting in the drive way at an uphill incline.

 

Ok, that's closer than I thought. I was going to say make sure you placed the bolts with the head towards the inside of the truck for more clearance, but it looks like you already did that.

 

Is the tire toward the front all the way

 

I had to cut the two brackets for the spare to be able to get a bigger spare on there size 275 70 18

 

Looks like near the back. I'll try to loosen it and push to the front as I tighten it.

 

Yeah we took a hammer to them.

 

Anyone have their stock shackles end up looking like mine ?

 

Any plans for additional group buys? Im interested in 2 shims driver side, 1 passenger and 3 shackles.

 

@Rica25 , would you mind taking a pic of the bracket were you cut it from the spare, if its a lot of hassle don’t worry about it. Thanks

 

So when you drop the spare tire down the is two brackets that hang down they are away from the rear bumper they are maybe 3 to 4 inches long just cut those....my truck is locked up and put away right now but let me see if I can find some on line

 

Kool, i think i know what you mean.
So when you cut those brackets, your tires are not hitting it. I have the 285/70/18 with the +3 shackles.

Correct that way you can scoot the tire forward a little more......you might need two people one to push the tire and one to turn the tool for the spare to go up
