Ordered my bumper shims from coachbuilder on Thursday morning and received them on Saturday! Talk about fast. And gotta love the packaging. Can’t wait to put these on then get my lift and wheels/tires!

Nice... Just put these on this week as well. Did it without taking the bumper off. Left one nut barely on one side (the lower 3 bolt nut) which allowed me to work the other side off just enough to slide the shims on. The reversed and did the other side. Took a little patience using this approach but can be done.

Awesome. I was planning on trying it that way as well. What set up are you running?

Prepping for a 295/70R18 and 3/1 install. Just trying to minimize any trimming that may need to be done. Currently running 275/70R18 on a level 1.9. with no rubbing.

Will these solve rubbing on the spot pictured below? I just mounted 285/75/17 and get a lot of rubbing on this spot, both sides, when turning in reverse.

Hard to say since it varies on the individual setup. The bumper shims gives you an additional 1/2 inch.

Nice, I currently have just a leveling kit up front with 285/65/18. The plan is to put 6112 at 2.5 up front with 5160 in the rear with icon 1.5 aal and run 285/75/18. Hoping that with my wheels and the bumper shims not much else is needed in the way of clearance.

What wheels are you running, with what offset?

Method 313, +25. After doing some more research I'm going to first attempt pushing the liners forward and re-drillng, a if that fails I'll trim them.

Nice, I heard you can get some wiggle room out of it without getting the bumper shims.

    Many pending.....
That’s the exact area where I get the rub. Shims to be ordered shortly. Running Nitto Ridge Graps 295/70 R18s. That’s my only contact point. Looking to go 35x12.50s soon and may need BMC at that time. For now; shim it.

Digging up an old thread here but curious about long term feedback. Any issues with using these after a while or do you forget about them once installed?

Anyone have before/after pictures? Wondering how noticeable the bumper offset is.

Thanks for the pic. Doesn't look too noticeable. Its actually way better than the current offset on my passenger side.

The dealership will be replacing my chrome bumper caps with painted plastic due to some existing damage I didn't notice at delivery. Wondering if I should push my luck and have them install these shims while they have the bumper off instead of making them trim the new caps to eliminate rubbing.

Running 35 x 12.5 and get a little rubbing at full lock in reverse.

I didn't do the Coachbuilder shims, but still had to "massage" the inner bumper cover after install of new wheels and tires. Put 20x9 Fuel Techs with a +20 offset, and 285/65/20 BFG KO2s, so still had slight rubbing at full tilt and reverse depending on the position of the truck.

I don't have any pictures but I have had the shims on for two years with no issues. I am running 17" Icon Rebounds with +25 offset and 35x10.5" Kenda KR 601's no rubbing and no issues.

I ended up ordering the Toytecs. Dealership is going to put them on when they have the bumper off. Hopefully that means no need to trim.

Coach Builder 1/2” bumper ship plus another 1/4” by relocating the inner fender bolt for total 3/4” extra gap for front tire to move through. Bonus is that it still keeps the factory look/Intergrity without cutting/melting the inner plastic fender liner

    What lift?

Also, I’m hoping to get away with 35x10.5 on stock wheels/offset (I have 6112’s but on the lowest setting…1” lift … could move the clips up but hoping not to)

I’ve been on 34x10.5’s for a while with zero rubbing.

I’m planning to shim the bumper before trying 35’s but…Any thoughts on how well this will work or where else I might rub?
