CMC And Warranty

    i have a slight rub and was wondering will it effect my warranty if i do the cab mount chop?

    I honestly don’t know for sure but I have heard that they would have to prove that whatever you did directly caused the issue you are trying to warranty.

    For instance if you blow a head gasket, I don’t think they can say, well you have a cmc, go pound sand.

    Pale_Horse is right. they have to prove that a modification is a direct cause of an issue that you are trying to warranty. if done correctly, I cant think of any issue that could happen by doing the cab mount chop. the worst thing that could happen is that too much metal was cut away. however, they should be welding a filler piece over the chop anyway so that it is just as strong if not stronger than the original mount.

    i did the cab mount chop on my last truck and there were no issues after 60k miles.
