Any old/long term Tundra owners with clear coat failure? Anybody put there's through hell and it held up? Any "no wax" on this work truck types out there? Would love your insight/experiences.

Living where you do (I used to live close to your location), wax is your friend. That sun will raise hell with the clear coat and paint.

Yeah.. I have a sealent on it and it's garaged, but you can't help but wonder when a chrysler pulls up beside you at a light and it appears like it has leprosy.

    Nothing wrong with 16’.

I was thinking this was your truck. Lol, and with it being only a couple years old I was amazed.

I nought a 2002 Tundra in Sep 2018. It was a 2–owner and hadn’t received any TLC for the paint & trim. Total clearcoat failure on roof and hood, partial on front fenders and door panels. Also lots of fading. Paint was originally gray but faded in many places to nearly an amber color on the front fenders and upper door panels. Have waxed it twice and put another coat on the roof and hood. Trying to figure best approach short of a total repaint.
