    Hey all,

Being from up-nort' and driving through deer country often, I've lately been seriously considering getting a grille guard for my 2020 1794 edition. There are plenty of options out there for the 3rd gens but most of them are blacked out and more suitable for the sportier-looking trims. Maybe it's just me but I personally am not a huge fan of mixing that with the chrome grille found on the Platinum, Limited, 1794, etc.

Anyone on here have some recommendations on what would go well with it? I found the model below but based on photos and research it's mostly been fitted only onto 2nd gens and from the description it seems like it conflicts with parking and/or ACC sensors (listing says excludes plat/lim). https://blackhorseoffroad.com/i-24867704-d-grille-guard-stainless-steel-17a098900mss.html

Any ideas? I know there are plenty of bull bars out there but headlights are a primary concern of mine since hitting a turkey back in the day was enough to take out a headlight.

That will work on your Tundra.

Thanks for the input. Is this based off experience with the brand? Unfortunately this specific model isn't very popular on newer Tundras (no reviews/pics on the 3rd gen) so I'd be going in blind.

No, just looking at pictures and it doesn't block any sensors.

Too bad I'm late to seeing this thread , I would have advised against a grille guard if you are looking for protection against deer , In my experience I've seen lots of grille guards get pushed back into the grille and headlights when encountering a deer strike . however if you were heart set on a grille guard I would have suggested a ranch hand. They're the strongest . Just wanted to throw that out there , but your truck looks great though !

Ranch hand would have been my first choice had they offered a chrome option that matches the 1794 edition aesthetic.

We'll see how this one works should I ever end up hitting a deer...worst comes to worst if I have to face-lift the front end I'll end up deleting the chrome and going with a more robust powder coated steel setup.

All that being said, the main brackets for this particular guard bolted directly onto the frame (where the tow hooks are mounted) so depending on the size of whatever I hit I think I might get away with it. Time and luck will tell though.
