Chrome door handle question?

I have a '19 cement limited crewmax with the infamous chrome door handles can the chrome covers pop off to expose the flat black handles underneath? A couple options i was thinking was to put a chrome tailgate handle to match the door handles and then debadge the truck just leaving all handles chrome. Next option was to order flat black handles and just take the emblems off. Finally option would be to paint all the handles to match.

 

I don’t believe the chrome just pops off showing black handles but maybe someone else can chime in..But I’ve seen a lot of members just swap out the handles for the flat black like you are talking about but if you obviously wanted to save some money then painting them wouldn’t be a bad idea.
