Really need your votes here. Kinda like the look with the chrome, in the front. Looks big, luxury like. At least to me anyway.

BUT, love the pic from the back where no chrome is visible. And do love the off-road look which is where I wanna head with the wheels I purchase.

if I don’t do a chrome delete, I would buy chrome wheels. But I feel like I would have to go with 20’s at least. If I go the off-road route, 18’s would look great with my already chunky tires.

    what do you guys think? 11209938-3B64-49ED-AC40-D58E29D4C270.jpg FF0A323B-1987-4031-8FF8-CA6E7312CD44.jpg 3493AEDE-D4B5-4C9A-92AE-D5F9DE043C15.jpg 87D80311-6065-478E-A25C-728CF4652654.jpg

It is totally a personal decision, but it is also good to get other opinions to weigh it out. I personally hate chrome, which is why I bought the TRD Sport. So, my opinion would be to delete the chrome.

Do it! I want to chrome delete my cement but I’m just trying to figure out the best way to do it. Really want to paint but I’m too afraid to do it myself.

Kill the chrome! By the way if you meant to put 1794 in your name the mods can change it for you if you ask them. I messed up mine so that’s how I know.

I originally wanted to kill all the chrome when I got my truck but after slowly swapping out things, I am okay with some of the chrome. I put on westin outlaw prerunner front and rear bumpers and killed that chrome. I also swapped out all the emblems and the grill insert. So I think the only chrome I have left is my mirrors, handles, and surround which I think I am going to keep as is.

That grille has WAY TOO MUCH CHROME..

I still have chrome bumper ends, I might swap them some day for painted.
I ditched the SR5 chrome grille, hood bulge, and headlights (swapped for TRD Pro headlights).
Removed the SR5 and Tundra emblems, kept the 5.7 i-FORCE so no one would think I had a 4.7.
Swapped my black door handles for painted..

Stock Tundra on the left, mine on the right.

Don't do it dude. Don't give in to peer pressure. Chrome is not the enemy. Keep it and be the one to stand out. If you must do something, have the grill surround painted body color and leave the insert chrome. I think that would look cool on your truck. And definitely don't be tempted to use anything with 'pasti' or 'dip' in the name lol.

I like some chrome. I do like the painted look as well.

One thing about all the de-chroming on the front end- Those painted parts are going to get nicks, rock chips, etc. Just cant be helped with a painted surface. The factory chrome does stand up and look better longer, if that is of any concern.

I'm fairly certain there are color matched caps that go right over the chrome. Thinking about do it for my truck. I heard disassembling the rear bumper isn't fun.

Agree with leave some , do what feels best to you. Yes painted does chip and bugs are alot harder to get off , but just remember it's yours. That's why I think I'm the only one on here with stock headlights , so now I feel original. Don't remember who on here wrote it , but it's the best phrase I've ever read, THIS IS MY TUNDRA , THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT ,BUT THIS ONE IS MINE!!!!!!

Yeah, I constantly see the group buy thread for these. They just pop over the chrome. The rear bumper really isn't too bad with taking apart when I swapped for an off road bumper. The front bumper though I had to take somewhere to swap out. Couldn't get the leverage to get out the tow hook bolts. The rust didn't really help either.

They have certain colors and finishes in stock.
They also paint them in OEM colors in batches, but they seem to be sold out.

Thinking about getting them in their Amour Coating (bed liner).

I feel both setups look good in their own way. I'm sticking with the chrome because it kinda reminds me of the semi trucks I always stared at on road trips growing up.

I like the chrome on my 2019 SR5. The honeycomb grill insert in black chrome sets off the chrome surround rather nicely imo. This was the day i got it in Feb 2019.
