450hp on a 10spd 3.6 is some serious power though

There's another car company that does it too. Was it Audi? Can't remember. But cabins are so quiet now, that they almost have to so you can hear it.

Taco rated a 6. Lame. Too many on the road was a problem for him. Duh. There's a reason for that.

These little trucks are getting expensive as shit

Agree. How'd the raptor get in there vs those little ones?

I'm almost positive Mustangs do it, but obviously that still Ford. Don't they do that on the Camaros to?

It would of been better if my ecoboost played some calming/serenity sounds out of the speakers every time it died.

My guess is Ford may have paid some additional bones to get it on there; or they wanted to compare similar size V6 engines (Which are all 3.X liters)

I will say that the Colorado does look pretty cool in the trims that they showed. I like the locking diffs and the sliders that look like they come factory. Hopefully Toyota takes note and add a couple things like that. To be honest I don't care about the front locking diff to me that says broken IFS in the future.

VW did the exhaust sound so probably Audi. I recall Lexus doing that too. Found this article on the net.

The new Ford GT is an Ecoboost. That thing is badass. And the Colorado ZR2 has some potential depending on what you want it for.

Problem is if they keep adding features, soon a taco would be mid $40 and Tundra over $50. I would rather they keep em with less features to make cars more affordable. $44k for that chevy? Crazy since my Tundy was $42 with a v8

I paid less for my 17 Tundra 5.7 TRD than I did my 16 Tacoma WEENIE RD

Don't get me wrong...I absolutely loved everything about all of my Tacomas, but the 16 was weak, small, terrible rear suspension, shifted too much, and I started feeling the transmission slipping after 25,000 miles.

The Taco was purchased new for $35k
Tundra was $32,500 new and has none of those issues

I agree on prices. No way I would pay 40 for a mid size truck. I paid 26k for my 2010 new and can't imagine paying 40k.

Yeah, that's damn impressive. Downside is if you're traversing something technical at slow speeds the engine has no power until the turbos spool up, then, tons of power fast. Wheel spin.
It is amazing though that they get that much power out of a small engine though.

Good point! I was surprised at how close the price ranges were between the Taco and Tundra. It seems like I got so much more truck getting the tundra compared to the taco. I still would love to see the 4.6 V8 offered in the taco.

Wife has a Ford Explorer Sport. It has the ecoboost with twins. It hauls ass! And with the paddle shifters it's a blast to drive. Only reason we got that vs any other SUV. Have not had any issues so far with it.

Yea, no shit. If they are going to compare small trucks then compare small trucks.

Engine noise through speakers?? Maybe its so that when that Ford gets 30k miles on it they can hear if its still running.

My Tundra is what "makes me feel special" on and off road.

My Expedition was a hand me down from dad and it had 110,000 mIles when I got it.

I traded for my 2012 Tundra 4.6 when the Ford was done.
My expedition's trading points. There are only a couple:
    • No A/C
    • Windows quit working
    • 235,000
    • 8 MPG
    • Air bags blew put and was riding on springs like an MS13 gang member
    • Entire interior lighting was ling goNE
    • Speedometer quit working
    • Power steering was toast
    • Broken door handles inside/outside
    • Rear pop out window stuck out so smelled like mildew
    • Leaked oil
    • Axle bent
    • Pleather was starting to rip.everywhere
    • I traded it for $3000 sight unseen just to sell the Tundra!!!!!
    I'm sure there's more....

I think Ford has been adding engine noise through the speakers for a few years now to make it sound like a real truck haha. My buddy has a 16 with the Ecobost and it does sound good inside, but I kinda broke hiss heart when I told him it was artificially pumped through. The thing does tow a trailer well I have to say.

I'm not going to lie.... that ZR2 with a bady Duramax sounds like a sweet combo. I'd like to drive one to see what it's all about.

My 94 Land Cruiser has the same amount amount of miles.

Everything still works with NO other issues.

Only have had to replace the outside driver door handle, the "O" in the washer fluid tank, and the batteries in the remotes so far.

American made vehicles are designed to start falling apart when you have about a year to go on paying them off. That way you will be so pissed and so "programmed" to go into debt for another one.

My 1996 Tacoma was sold and then sold again.

It has 396,000 and still runs the same as day 1. I'll never buy anything but Toyota.

I want a Land cruiser but have you seen tge price on new ones?

    Mine was 47G's in 94.

If you do the math its only cost me $1,958.33 a year to own a Land Cruiser since I bought it.

Bought my last Taco in 2006 for 21k

    120k miles over 10 years

    Sold it for 14k

Cost me $700.00 per year to own that.
