After two days of travel up to Flagstaff Arizona, from Texas. After parking and getting camp all set up, I noticed my check engine light was on, traction control off display, can’t see P R N D display and my review camera won’t come on? Has anyone gone through this??? Thank you

Very similar to what happened to me after I installed an aftermarket stereo. Definitely was my fault, but pissed me off so bad I put in an oem nav unit.

These trucks seem to have weird electrical systems, good luck and I’ll be watching this thread.

    Welcome to the site.

Anything under the hood that might be an indicator?

-check wiring harness on drivers side by firewall. May have had a rodent do damage before and now just finally failed.

-Will the truck run and drive?

Now the more technical stuff. You probably don’t have a scanner on you, but if you do:

P0705 transmission range sensor circuit malfunction

Everything sounds good, she drives! I disconnect the battery, all errors gone, but review camera won’t come on. Going to take it for drive and push her to see what happens. If something happens then I’ll take it to a dealer

Did you tow a camper by any chance? May have blown a fuse for the rear camera.

Yes I pulled a 24’ camper without water

Just drove her, up and down hills, speeds up to 70, rpm work just like before, still no camera or drive display. I will check out the fuses! Thanks for the info, so far away from home and I’m thinking the worst. Let’s hope not

My rear camera takes a little while to come back on after disconnecting the battery. Hopefully yours just comes back on.

My check engine light and traction control light came on and the 4lo light blinks. I bought a $370 neutral safety switch because the guy at autozone read the code wrong. I took it to my mechanic when I got back home. He said it was a sensor located on top of the transmission. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how hard is it to replace?

I would take that 370.00 back to the parts store. Damn.

The sensor you’re talking about is the range sensor, but I personally have not changed one out. Probably a support bolt and this is attached to the shift linkage cable. Probably not a bad job to perform.

They broke the neutral safety switch when they was trying to get it off. So I’m stuck with that bill.

I have a 2014 DC 4x4 SR5. I install a trailer break controller. With that being said, somewhere from the trailer to the plug or my install, there is a short. So after my trip, no use for my controller, I unplug it from under the dash, there is no trailer plug to the bumper. I disconnect the battery, change the fuse, connect the battery, turn on truck, no errors! It’s been 2 months nothing Hope this helps! Good luck!

I get bunch of lights on (iirc, engine and traction control and 4wd) if the battery is weak. Never checked the camera. If I start the car and lights are on, I let it run for a minute or two and then restart. All lights go off.
There are couple of threads about this including mine.

I had the same exact issue after installing LED reverse lights on my 2012.
Well, after one popped that is.
It blew, out went the other side and then the camera turned off.
I was done driving for the night so I said screw it and forgot about it till the next day.
The CEL and trac off didn’t come on till after 2 trips the next day.
The Bk/Up fuse was blown under the dash.
Problem was solved after I replaced the light and the fuse.
