    Hi All,
I'm looking to buy my first Tundra. I currently have a 2020 Laramie. I'm looking to purchase a Platinum. The colors I'm interested in are magnetic gray, silver, and WCP. These trucks look very different in person as opposed to online pictures. The WCP is elusive in my area it seems. I have not been able to see one in person. Does anyone in Central Florida have one I can see in person?

If you’re just wanting to see the color, keep an eye out for Camrys. I see a lot of them around in that color.
I know pics aren’t what you’re looking for, but here’s some closer up in the sun from one of mine.

You're welcome to drive to Chicago to look at my truck, but that's probably not a great plan. There are other Toyotas offered in that color- maybe look for a Camry or whatever else has that option. I didn't want Wind Chill Pearl and would never have picked it, but I actually love it now. From a distance it just looks white, but waxed and in the sun you really see the pearl and metallic flakes. The flares are grey metallic as well. Not sure if that's the case on all colors. Paint quality is decent. I don't see any significant orange peel or inclusions, but I'm not as picky as some. A pearl would be more difficult to shoot so maybe they take a little more care with those colors.

I'd go to the Ford website and search dealer inventory for a Star White Metallic Tri-Coat F150. The color is pretty close and on a truck body. Here is mine, took me 6 months to have a dealer that sells at MSRP (Toyota of Paris Texas) get a Limited 4x4 crew allocated.

Thanks for the info and ideas. Ideally I would like to see a platinum in person but the current vehicle market makes it difficult. I'd hate to put a WCP on order only to wait 4 ever and not like it as much as the MGM.

The flakes look great in white, the MGM also sparkles in the wild.

Well you don't really 'order' a Toyota. See the other threads on the allocation process. Just tell your dealer what config and trim you want and they should tell you what color becomes available first. Then if you don't like it in person just walk away.

WCP is a beautiful color but metallic white hues like that often have paint issues. And not just toyota, Ive seen it across manufacturers. I dont know why, but the metallic white and peal hues often have adherence issues and will have peeling spots over time. Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, ford come to mind. Im sure a websearch could provide more info.

It is gorgeous however. My wife drives a pearl metallic white suv, hers has peeling spots as well, and it is only a 2016

How about the blue metal flake in the Midnight Black! Doesn’t get any better than blue flakes!

The WCP is the easiest to keep looking clean than the darker colors. Keep that in mind. ;)

Clearwater here. Ironically, I see more windchill pearl than anything else around the Tampa area.

Just watch out for those iron / rail dust spots (clay bar seems to remove them if they show up)... otherwise I loved my CWP (Crystal White Pearl) Subaru's. They looked very similar to the WCP, but I might change my mind if I ever see them side by side in the same lighting.

I wanted wind chill pearl for a loooong time, then finally saw a dealer that had a ice cap right next to the wind chill pearl, at that time of day with sun/clouds, you could not see the metallic pearl in it at all - the 2 trucks looked almost identical, the WCP looked dirty next to a clean white.

I have had many pearl vehicles, last one being a 2017 laramie ram in pearl white, that truck had a yellowish glow hue anytime it was daylight out. Oh wellz, had I not seen the 2 trucks lined up next to each other, I would still be hunting for a WCP lol

I then wanted a smoked mesquite as well then realized my friends would make fun of me anytime they saw it at night and say I bought the color of shit....

Then I thought I wanted lunar rock or army green, and then I realized I hate primer colored paint jobs and dont like how the industry pushed primer colors in the last 10 years lol

Did your truck come with WCP color on the fender lips or were they painted after the purchase? I thought the platinum were black. Same as body color looks sharp.

My in-laws own a body shop and had them paint the fender flares recently. The black was just a little too much. Unfortunately, the capstone is the only one that comes from the factory this way.

It looks great, thinking of the same approach on the fender lips and the trim on the front grille. Thank you and Enjoy your Tundra.
