im interested in a hood mount for a CB antenna since I have a roll up bed cover and can't use the stake pocket bracket and I'm not really into the bed/tailgate mount. So I'm looking for some input this hood mount, how do you like it, does it rub the paint off?

Curious, what CB antenna do you have, I like that it is stiffer and a good height compared to the one I currently have. Looking for one to add to my bed rail.

i have a different plan. haven't yet had time to dig into it but i have the part.

i can't remember the last time i used the radio (am/fm) in a vehicle. so, the radio antenna is useless to me. awhile back, on ih8mud, i found this.

i bought his mounting hardware and am hoping, with a few slight modifications, that i can get it to fit in the tundra fender.

There’s a post in this thread that details how a guy mounted to the passenger side of his hood; looks like it turned out neat, paint protected:

it’s maybe 3 or 2 pages from the bottom of the thread at this time.
