    Hi all,

    Thieves stole both catalytic converters off my truck. $7 grand repair plus weeks waiting for parts....Does anyone have a recommendation on how to stop this from happening? Is there some sort of alarm or skid plate or something that can limit or stop access to the converters? Thanks for your help!

    Like 7 vehicles had them cut at my shops lot on Wed. and this just happened there a few months ago too and a Sequoia got hit again.

    I got pretty good recording of the shitheads too but the cops dont seem like anything will be done anyway?

    They warned us not to approach the bad guys if we run onto them as they are probably armed and dangerous but a few guys are going to sleep there I think and hope this is the case!

    Man I hate thieves!

    Some of the guys in my area have had to make caging around the cats to make it way more difficult to cut them off. This is in hopes they will be to lazy to go through the extra trouble.

    The guy below me is a UHaul Dealer and most of the trucks he gets now have a cage like this already installed at the Depot where they dispatch the trucks from.

    They also tell renters to leave the trucks unlocked so the Windows dont get broken out when they are ransacked everywhere they sit.

    The demand for palladium surpasses supply, and it has done it for eight years in a row. It’s been made worse by this year. The amount in a converter on one of these trucks 5-6g at $78 a g scrap could bring $450.
