Just had one converter harvested from my 2008. Has anyone installed under carriage motion sensors? Further, any instructions on how to tie them into the onboard stock antitheft? Thank you

A sensor isn't going to do anything. You need some cat protection plates.

I took mine to my welder buddy - he put reinforced rebar and steel rods attached to cat and everywhere around it - its a lot to cut and make lots of noise to get it off now. Sure you can get anything you want but they will probably move onto easier prey.

On the other hand, I read the amount of cat theft is down bigtime due to all the info required when dumping them for $$$ (ID, vehicle VIN).

So what are they after more than cats now? Sensors. Those really pricey ones sitting way up front on grille where they are easily removed.

Now, how to protect those? Hmmm...

Thanks for the feedback . I’ve considered the plates but also trying to think outside the box. An alarm might save my cats and my neighbours’. Thoughts on how to wire into the stock antitheft?

An alarm is not going to work to save your cats. Pay attention to what we are telling you. You need plates. These are quick in and out thefts. They will see the plates and move on. A noise maker will do you absolutely no good.

An alarm isn't going to stop them; it takes less than a couple of minutes, if that, to make 4 cuts.

I feel your pain; mine were stolen in my employer's parking lot in November of 2021.
Not only did they steal my cats, but they damaged my BAM muffler.:(
They were in such a hurry with the alarm going off that they left one side hanging.
Funny to have a sawzall and you don't think to cut through the rubber hanger..

As I stated above, they left one of mine hanging.
After I got it repaired, the truck was at the dealership for 8 months waiting on parts, and I tried to sell the cat to local recyclers.
I couldn't find ANYONE who would take it, even though I had the invoice for the replacement.
I ended up sending it to an online recycling place that paid for shipping, and I ended up with around $200.

    ^ This is the way.
I installed the cat plates the day I got it home from the dealership.
It's worth the peace of mind while my vehicle sat unattended during my 12-hour shifts at work.
Back then, cats were being stolen from store parking lots and driveways.

After, the front is a TRD skid plate.

Even a couple of months after installing plates, I got a notification that my alarm was going off while I was at work.
I checked it when I got off and saw this.
I guess they were going at it and then saw the shields and moved on.

it’s down because construction in China halted and they were the ones buying them so the price of stolen cats or the precious metals tanked so it’s not really worth it for them to steal them anymore

Judging by the spelling, might you be in Canada? I've not familiar with what might be going on with laws regarding the sale of used cats to recyclers there. Maybe the laws aren't the same as in the U.S., thus there may still be some sort of incentive due to somewhat more lax laws. Just speculation.

Do you only need the transmission shield from talon to protect the cats? They offer the transfer plate as well.

I've got one left over from installing my aftermarket skid plate. Depending on where you're located, you can have mine. I have 2014 SR5 so I think it would still fit yours.

If you wanna make the drive, it's yours. I could meet you in Nashville.
I don't know, it might be better for you to order one. It's an 8 hour drive from Cincinnati to Nashville. Up to you, let me know.

I appreciate the offer. If I'm in the area in the next few weeks, I'll contact you. I make frequent trips to Northern Tennessee for boating and backpacking trips.
