Is the security key unique? It just looks like a security star bit? Thats a bold claim to say thieves can not get by it if it isn't uniquely made for your hardware.

The point is I have a set of security bits that cost $10.00 that came with 100 security bits. At least if it was unique say like the hardware Talons Garage offers a thief would have had to bought something specific for that specific vehicle they crawled under rather than something general you can pick up at any harbor freight. I get that its a deterrent, so Cali should say its a deterrent, not "security key thieves can not get by". If they say a thief can't get by it...that's a valid question of why they are making that claim.

Two of the cats are not exposed and hidden in the engine bay, so you do not need protection for those. The other two cats are exposed and our kit includes a passenger and driver-side cat guard to protect them:)

Talons garages catalytic plate is 1/4 plate rather than 3/16" and overall the same set up is about $350 cheaper or $250 cheaper if it's powder coated.

You are correct, the cat plates are 3/16” but the skids are 1/4” and it is a Canadian made product local to Edmonton. If you have any other questions I’d be happy to help!

I just bought some cat shields. Anyone know what the torque should be for the bolts that has to be loosened for the shields?

The torque value for this is going to around 22, but honestly just tighten it enough to where you wont break it off. Please let me know if you need help with anything else!
