Truck is looking good. Looks like your Wescott lift settled a little in the front and you have a little rake back??

I think it’s more just the angle of the shot. I do need to park it on level concrete and measure again.

Got around to painting my tow hooks yesterday.

Used a 17mm socket and breaker bar to break the bolts loose, then pulled them off. Hit them with some brake cleaner, then a wire wheel (both on my grinder and on my hand drill) to rough up the factory paint, then a good soak with brake cleaner again after hanging them on a make-shift rack.

Two coats of Duplicolor self-etching primer, then three good coats of Rustoleum Caliper Paint (red) and then left them hang in the 88 degree heat for about 4 hours.

Then use the same 17mm socket to put them back on, and gave them a good extra snug with the breaker bar to make sure they were good and tight.

Not very visible in this last shot, but it's just a good looking truck.

Truck looks is great brother! I'm thinking of running the same set up with wescott and coach builder. Would you recommend getting 3" CB shackles? I want the truck to sit leveled or as close to leveled as possible with the wescott fronts. Also how are you liking it? Any difference in the ride quality?

I would like to do the same lift. But after being in Portland Maine last week had to park in garage for parking. I barely fit height wise. 5 levels in the garage the higher you went up the lower the garage got. I don’t want to even try to explain. Lol.

I've got the Westcott lift on mine and definitely get claustrophobic in parking garages now, lol.

I started to enter a parking garage in Nashville that said 6’5” clearance. I hit the brakes and backed out. I’m on TRD Fox suspension with CB +2 shackles and 285/75s, and it was too close for my comfort. I don’t think the shark fin would hit it, but man it looked so close.

The yellow things that hang down 2 of them. I had to make sure my antenna fin was in the middle of that would have got knocked off. After that I was backing down could not go any further.

So, the CB+2 will level you out pretty much dead on (if you don't have any sustaining load in the back such as topper or rack/RTT). I actually want a slight amount of rake so I'm considering either switching to the CB+3 or putting the Roadmaster Active Suspension on the truck and then re-evaluating what shackle to use.

I still need to park on a level slab, grab a helper and a level, and take measurements from the top of the fin to the ground.

But do you duck when you drive under the bar? Even though the roof is above my head I still duck instinctively.

Even though my truck is still stock height and not yet lifted, I have still ducked on low parking garage ceilings.

I'd like to know this measurement. I plan on do a similar setup when mine comes in. I have a feeling it won't fit in the garage.

It may be instinct, but it's a little known fact that if you duck quickly when entering a parking garage, it compresses the suspension *JUUUUUSSST* enough that you can slide the truck in without sustaining damage. It's even more effective if you have a few bubbas with you who can duck @ the same time.

    ;)

    yes. every. damn. time.

In my old truck, I actually hit one of those in a parking garage once. It was half-way up the ramp from L1 to L2. had to back down the ramp and circle for a spot on L1...

The red anodized hardware in my switch mount plate and the AJT trim had faded to more of a pink, so I swapped it all out for black, including the screws in the shifter too.

Thanks. I did it that way so that I could go back and find stuff. On my last truck, I had information and pictures and write-ups scattered from hell to breakfast and so when I got this one I figured I better start tracking things right away.

Hey Casey, for your Boost tow mirrors I know you did the high output flood light. How do you like them? Are they too bright in the cab? Is it worth the extra money over the low output?

I don't know how the low output looks, but I don't find the high output to be too bright. In the front seats, you really don't see the light itself, and in the rear seats you've got ~20% tint from the from the factory.

That said, I also don't use those lights much (because they are on a separate switch). But I haven't been out in the truck after dark a whole lot either this summer.

Okay, appreciate it. I was going to wire them to my reverse lights and was just curious. With the price of everything going up I'm really thinking about placing my order soon

Hey Casey how close is your tire to your UCA after the Wescott lift and alignment? Just curious because we’re both running the same tires and I just lifted my Pro up front with CB shims (only .75”). These tires are so close as it is which does not leave much to adjust the toe out. I know very little about alignment but I saw your specs are “in the green” but with the tire already being that close to the UCA a proper alignment has me worried. Your alignment shop say anything about how close your tires are to the UCA and getting the toe back in spec?

I bought the high output, and don't regret them one bit. You don't even know they are there unless you look in the mirror. And like Casey, haven't used them much (I hate driving at night), but look forward to them during the fall, winter, spring. Mine are currently wired into the reverse lights.
