So I had my taillights replaced with new housings and LED lights recently. They have been working fine. I decided to switch out the rear cargo lights and 3rd brake light to LED’s as well.. well once I did that now my 3rd brake light and right rear running lights on the tail lights won’t work. The white cargo lights do work though.. Any suggestions?? It’s in an 09 Tundra

I’ll try that again.. I even put the old bulb in there but with the other two being LED’s...
Would the 3rd brake light affect the running on lights on just one rear tailight?

Check all the fuses in the engine compartment and on the driver side under the dash.

Make sure the thin leads on the end of the bulb are aligned properly so they make contact with the receptacle...???

    Reverse everything

Put back the stock light bulbs to rule out they work. Meaning... unplug the LED, stick back your regular bulbs in socket and test.

On mine, the red connected wire on the led taillight ( have 4 wires on the LED lights) goes to the white wire on truck harness.....

Just to be sure. Did you use a fuse checker. I couldn’t think of the name. I have one that lights up and tells you if they are good or bad. You can also check continuity if you have a voltage meter. Sometimes just looking at them doesn’t do the trick. At least pull them out and check that way.

So I switched everything around, checked the fuses (tail, stop and cargo) with a fuse checker and they are all good. Checked the voltage and it seems that the 3rd brake light isn’t getting any volts to it..

is that with the leds still in, or with regular bulbs in all the brake lights?

did you get cheap leds or can-bus compatible leds? my 2010 required can-bus compatible (although i think that may still be an issue)

I put back the bulbs that were in there before replacing them with the LED’s... this issue I’m talking about is the 3rd brake light that’s in the middle of the cargo lights over the truck bed. As far as my right rear tail light everything works (hazards, turn signal, brake light) except for the running lights
