    Hi All,
I’m looking at a used truck and came across one I really like.
The truck looks to be in great shape, the only issue is the odometer reading on Carfax.
A few months back it was reported at a service to be at 14700. However looking at a picture of the odometer and what it’s advertised at it only reads 13477.

Is that a red flag or do you think it was probably a clerical error?

    I'm going with clerical error.

I would agree, clerical error if all else looks legit. I had it happen to me once in a car I owned. It was the emission test guy that reported the wrong mileage. Looking at the history it was like 120,000 60,000, 190,000. The 60,000 should have been 160,000.

Carfax estimates the mileage in-between services. I was given a Carfax subscription for first year of ownership. It stated my truck should have x miles and needs services when it was over a 1000 miles off. I wouldn't be too worried about them being off.
