I tried searching this section and couldn't find an answer to this question. Does anyone here have a cap on their 2019 or 2020 Tundra yet?

From what I've read here, Leer, ARE and Snugtop are the big 3 that most folks use and like.
There apparently isn't a Snugtop dealer anywhere near me.
ARE quoted me just over $4000 CAD for a painted and installed Z series with the tilt down sliding front window. I also have some concerns about their quality based on what I've read here.
And the Leer website says none of their caps fit a 2020 (or 2019) Tundra, though a number of them fit a 2018. Did Toyota really change the exterior dimensions of the Tundra in 2019? Somehow I doubt it. I may just have to contact one of their dealers and see if they can help me.

Thanks in advance for any advice or insight anyone can provide.

'14-'20 all the same, '14+ will fit. I got my ARE MX with fold down front window, carpet, and roof rails (no racks) 6 months ago for $2200 US and change. Camper shells are one of those things that it might pay to travel. All will be the same from the MFG just different dealer. I took my quote from the dealer ARE website directed me to use to another dealer and saved over $200. Just handed over my phone with the email. Hope this helps.

If you’re near the border - probably worth driving down to get it. They install them right at the shop.

I've been selling and installing A.R.E. caps for 23 years, my company has been a dealer since 1988 and their quality, while still very good has struggled a bit. Not all of it is the fault of A.R.E. They're under the Truck Hero umbrella and it seems that most of the companies in that group have some quality issues. Paint quality has been one of A.R.E.'s biggest challenges. The hard part for the consumer is finding a competent shop that knows how to install a cap. It's not just setting it on and clamping it down.
That said, if you're willing to go for a road trip I can get you into a Z with the tilt sliding front window and 12" LED dome light for $2500.00 tax, title and license. Whatever you decide to do feel free to hit me with any questions or concerns.

I appreciate the offer but I'm not sure it would be worth it to drive 23 hours to save $800 (once I convert to CAD).

I'm going to ask Leer for a quote. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on 100XR vs. 100XL vs. 100XQ. Again search was inconclusive.

If you go with an ARE Z you can delete the trim piece where the topper meets the bed rail for a cleaner finish.
I did and am happy how it turned out. My dealer measured my Tundra bed and sends the numbers to ARE with the order. He said this way ARE is on the hook for getting the topper fit exactly right. Hope this helps. The only thing I have had to replace is the lock, ARE warrantied it. Can’t ask for more than that. The color clear coat and fit and finish on my Z has held up excellent.

I got a Snugtop on my 2018. Should be same as 2019 and 2020. So far it worked out ok.
In near future I might switch to ARE. But they all have their own issues with leaking or not fitting. Mine had no issues so far.
Had a bit of leaking from rear bed door. But solved it with weather stripping.
