Your key (as in a ignition key, not a fob) won't unlock your door???

Wow. Dang, sorry to hear that. I wonder if a locksmith would be able to slim Jim it open then?

Heard slim jims don't work on electronic door looks, need to find a 24 volt source like the starter or alternator so i can use the key fob.

I mean to put the charger on the starter or alternator to try to get a little charge and maybe get enough juice to get the key fob to work.

Try prying the passenger door with a door stop and use a hanger to try and pull the handle to open the door... you're not getting to the starter unless you're pulling an ass load of things off... I talk from experience... you can try and pull some of the splash guards off on the driver side... you should see a line covered in black or gray plastic... if you pull that hard enough you may be able to pop the hood..

Try pulling the hood release cable guided through the driver side, its your best bet and probably easier... wait do you have the hood open... didn't read that??

LOL... he is talking about getting to the starter, don't think he has thought this one through... Alternator maybe, but if the battery is dead, I'm assuming its a full lock out... no doors nor hood is open.

Nope. Cable actuated. The other end is the lever on the dash.

Try a screwdriver, or a prybar and see if you could pull the handle from the outside to release the hood....

just saw some cat drill a hole and pull the spring with a pry bar or a screwdriver... but its a bit extreme, so I didn't post it.. LOL... I'm sure theft deterrent wont budge.

They can put a wedge in between the doors to get a long wire in and pull on the manual lock. AAA did it for one of our guys who locked their keys in the Tundra.

I'd be careful where you poke the positive wire in the bulb socket. You don't want to ground it by accident.

Well the licence plate light looks the easiest, or try to pry the passenger side widow to reach the driver side lock.

Agreed. Could make a problem considerably worse. On the bright side, he’s got a 50/50 shot at doing it right.

Confirming positive and negative on the plug before applying 12V will be important.
