Hello fellow Canadians. Does anybody know of a good Canadian retailer for high quality LEDs? I've been looking at VLEDs and Precision LED but with the exchange rate and shipping it gets awful expensive to buy and ship to Canada. Right now I'm just looking to upgrade the interior lights and will work my way through the rest of the truck over time.

    Thanks.

Where are you in Canada? I’ve been trying the same thing. I couldn’t find anything in Canada. So I ordered my interiors from HR
Like you said it does get expensive.

    I'm in BC.

I'll probably just order from one of the American companies. Toss up between PrecisionLED, VLEDS and HR.

Amazon.ca had the best deals and some good lights. Candian Tire has Sylvania, but crazy expensive, but cheaper than ordering a kit from the US guys.

I ended up ordering the interior bulbs from VLED with their black friday sale. Will see how it works out. not cheap but I didn't want to go with the chinese LEDs.

You won't regret I had cheap China interior led lights before replacing with VLEDS. China stuff has a blue tinge while the VLEDS are crystal clear. There is a reason VLEDS are expensive they are top quality best of the best

I did the interior and the license plate lights all with VLEDs. I bought the 5500K pure white bulbs as I didn't want the blue or yellow tinge at the other extremes.

Shipping was VERY fast to Canada. I ordered on Saturday night and they arrived Tuesday evening. Impressive.

Installing the bulbs is really easy. I did watch the videos on the precision led site because they show you exactly how to remove the covers, etc. Used some tape to help pull the bulbs out. Only issue I ran into is that one of the existing bulbs in the dome light decided to pop up and into the housing. I couldn't remove it no matter what I tried and wasn't sure how to remove the housing from the headliner without breaking something so I left it. One of these days I'll see about getting in there and getting that bulb out.

here's the link to the Precision LED video:

Overall impression - The quality of the bulbs is second to none. I've bought cheap chinese LEDs in the past and I see why these are more expensive.

As for brightness - They are VERY bright. I'm still getting used to them but my initial impression is that they're almost too bright but I know that'll pass soon enough.

I'm glad I did the upgrade. Now I want to upgrade the white LEDs in the 3rd brake light and thinking about the backup lights too. Just can't afford that right now with Christmas etc.

    Hope that helps.
