Well, I kind of knew this was going to happen eventually, but I traded in the Tundra. It was the best truck anyone could ask for, but it was just too much for my needs.
When I was a kid, I had a German Shorthaired Pointer that was by far the best dog I’ve ever had, but we had a small yard and he was just too much dog for us and so we regrettably gave him to someone with a ranch. In a way, the Tundra felt the same way. Incredible truck, but I don’t own a trailer and have never used it to one 10th of its capacity. I’m still sad and half way emotional over trading it it.
I replaced it with this. It’s like a mini me of my old truck. I swore off 3rd gen Tacos in 2016, but I got a 6 speed manual which seems to fix 99% of the issues.
I still want to hang around here if that’s ok. It’s crazy how attached I am to the good members of this forum. Tacoma world is great, but it’s a mob. This place feels like a close circle of friends. D81EF0BC-B780-456F-AC3C-847AE9D684D6.jpg

We’ve got at least 1 @ColoradoTJ that doesn’t even own a Toyota! I even try to treat dodge owners with respect (not always easy) set your mind at ease and stick around!

It's still a Yota! Even if it wasn't, you'd be welcomed here man!
    More Kevins the better!

Congrats. My wife recently picked up a 3rd gen Tacoma as well and for me the only way I let her do it was to get the manual. It was easy too once she test drove both, initially thought the auto wasnt too bad, then test drove a manual and was hooked, much better being able to control the little 3.5

More wheeling for sure. Time to save up some $ using the money saved on payments for some King’s.

Congrats on they new truck. More projects yaay. I would’ve gotten a taco if I didn’t pull a trailer.
A buddy at work has a new one and I can’t talk him into getting it stuck in the sand to try out crawl feature.

I’ve been thinking of doing the same but with a second gen taco. Like Patriot said though, I’m not sure I’ll fit well in one.

Good luck with the new ride!

By all means stick around. MY bubby has a Tacoma and I tried to convince him to get a Tundra but he felt it was too big. He ended up with a nice truck but got the auto and had to add a plug and play mod to get the power he wanted. With the new calibration the Taco is actually quite peppy. We can all learn from each other.
