I have have stock 20s wanting to run. 33x12.50r20 will it clear upper control arm I have ranch hand full replace I’m not worried about height because I know it will clear with 3/1 lifting kit that have on it I ran nitto trail grapplers 295/70r18 before with no problems. I’m worried that there going to be to wide. Thought about going with a very small spacer that will fit over factor stubs. Please help me out.

I think you'll be ok with wheel spacers.

I’ve ran 295/70r18 before with no problems. But they don’t make a mudd grappler In that size. It’s either 33x12.50 or 35x12.50

The sport 20s have a higher offset than the factory 18s do, which means less clearance for wide tires. A 285 is about as wide as you can go on the sport 20s without adding spacers. This is why I ultimately bought new lower offset wheels for mine and sold the stocks.

That would probably be worse. It’s not the uca that are the problem, it’s the wheels and the high offset that places the center line of the wheel close to the hub. You need a lower offset wheel to push the face of the wheel away from the hub, hence giving you the clearance from the UCA.

This will help explain high offset vs low offset and how you gain clearance from suspension components with offset change.

    no, you will rub.

here are 295/55/20's (about 12 inches wide) and they are about 1/4 inch from the UCA:

Get 1” bora spacers and you’ll be good to go. Or get skinnier tires, your call.

And this is with a +50 wheel. The Sport wheels are +60, making it worse.

I was almost positive that the stock TRD 18’s are +60 as well.

But the 17” rock warriors, if I remember correctly are +50. So you are part right!

Haha. Sweet! I’ll take it. My 295/55s are actually 12.2” wide. When I measured the gap between the stock 275s and the UCA....there would have been like 1/32” of clearance . Good excuse to get new wheels! Lol

It would be cool to find a different offset stock 18 because I like the way they look. I wish they were like +40. Then I can put the width tires that I like and have them sitting in the fender where I would prefer.

Well I have 2 options the wheel spacer , off set rims...... guess there is no after market upper control that will let you run a wider tire.

New wheels. New UCAs are for added camber adjustments you can’t get with stock. Most aftermarket are bigger than oem.

If you’re still worried about hitting the UCA, you won’t be close with that offset. But going that far out with a 12.5” wide tire may put you close to the body mount. Hopefully someone else can give you a better answer.

If you are wanting to stick with the stock wheels then a 1” spacer will put you around +35 offset, 1.25” spacer will put you around +30 offset, 1.5” spacer will put you around +25 offset (all good for getting tire away from uca).

If you’re going the aftermarket route, then look for any wheel in the +18 to +35 offset range. Those tend to be the sweet spots on these trucks with 12.5” tires.

Think he means 295/60R20. I’d check the specific tire specs too as it may vary from the standard 33.9x11.6
