    2019 tundra double cab
Just bought a 2019 double cab. Looking for a camper shell to be only used on rare occasions. Hunting or fishing trip. Found a shell listed that came off a 2011 tundra double cab but it’s a 2 hour drive away. Does anyone know if the bed dimensions are close on the two year models?

I’m looking too and from what I understand it’s 2014 on that fits a 2019. Hopefully someone smarter will confirm or deny

They're pretty close I'm sure, but it's not going to fit right at the tailgate.

That's the interior dimensions of the bed. The bedrails and tailgate cap are different from 2nd to 3rd gen. A 2nd gen cap may fit width wise but it will end up being short length wise and you'll end up with alot of unwanted paint wear.

If it's only a rare occasion thing , maybe a soft topper would fit your needs better? Definitely easier to store. I see them used occasionally on this page marketplace.

From personally trying Leer and A.R.E, they will not fit unfortunately... tried both from 14/15 Double cab off-roads on my 13 OR. The length, tailgate fit, and bed-side rail width are all a little/a lot different (biggest difference being the tailgate).

My 2 cents would be if you put down weather proofing you could get away with everything OTHER then the tailgate BUT there are enough caps out in the world that it's not worth the hassle IMO.
