I've got some smart coworkers. One in particular is Leon. Known him for years. Excellent tech. He has been into computers for quite some time. I know he has built custom setups for friends and himself. Leon's current setup is nuts. I've seen him expanding/modifying his setup and asked him if I could post it up here. He was kind enough to give the OK. Some serious shit.

"You can just copy and paste the specs. There are two separate computers in the case
easily 10k for all the parts to build both systems."

    HERE WE GO:

    Main Computer

    Intel i9-7980XE
    Asus ROG Rampage VI Extreme
    64GB Corsair Dominator RAM @3GHz
    Corsair AX1500 Watt PSU
    X3 Samsung EVO 1TB SSD’s
    X3 WD 6TB HP7200 RPM HHD’s
    X2 Asus GTX1080ti’s

    Gaming Server

    Intel i7-8700k
    Asus 370I mini ITX
    32GB G-Skill Rip jaw RAM @3.2GHz
    Samsung EVO 960 500GB M.2 SSD
    Corsair SFX 600W PSU
    Asus GTX 1060ti

    Cooling System

    1 420mm Radiator
    X2 480mm Radiators
X5 Corsair 140mm LL Series Fans
X8 Corsair 120mm LL series Fans
    X2 200mm Coolant reservoirs
X2 CPU and x2 GPU water blocks

There are way to many varied pieces parts for the flight sim to list but probably 4-5k for it all

I was a VAR at one time, build over 700 custom systems when I was in business. Got to the point that the big names were selling system for what I was making on them so I took down my shingle and started working for "the man" earning a paycheck.

I think the most time on a flight sim I spent was Janes LongbowII. Amazing back then. Would love to see what they are doing now.

Really nice system, water cooled systems were just coming around when I got out of following hardware trends. That thing rocks.
what flight sim is he running?

I know he had the A-10 Wart Hog flight sim. About as real as it gets. That stick is a Wart Hog replica. I think Leon has been mastering the AV8-C Harrier lately. He wants the F-22 flight sim but that ain't happening anytime soon.

There was a F16 simulator, title "Back to Baghdad" it was so realistic you couldn't crank it up without the check list (that was in advance mode, they had arcade mode also) the guy got bought out by DoD and as I understand it, it was the bases for future military sims.

Ask Leon if he remembers the Falcon4 series, that was an awesome sim at the time. I still have a set of Thrustmasters HOSAT Cougar.
