CAI install

Does anyone know anything about the MPG average on the display being way off now that the CAI has been installed? Called my local dealership and they said “Tundras don’t like aftermarket CAI’s”, I find that hard to believe since Toyota makes one, unless you can only install the TRD. Thanks

 

Did you unhook your battery before installing the aftermarket CAI?
FYI, the stock intake is already a Cold Air Intake but can be improved by installing a TRD airflow accelarator and TRD or K&N drop in air filter.
Others have done SABM on their stock airbox to increase airflow.

I did forget to remove it but since have, it’s a K&N FYI
