Hi everyone, I have a 17 CM Platinum and was considering a exhaust change because quite honestly, I am tired of my truck sounding like a Camry driving down the road. The shop I have used for other upgrades suggest a exhaust system from Magnaflow and suggested as an upsale I am sure, a CAI from S&B. The guy at the shop said that doing both will first of all give me a decent sound, but also will give me a 3-5 mpg gain. I do on average about 14-15mpg currently. I believe in trust but verify so I am curious as to if anyone else here has done the same type of upgrade and if there was that type of mpg increase. I know now a days that vehicles come out of the factory so toned down so as to pass EPA requirements, etc. I was just curious on what you all thought and if you had any suggestions. Thanks.

I bought my TRD exhaust purely for sound and looks. Increase mpg is laughable.

If you go with true duals you're more likely to hurt mileage, low end torque at the very least. CAI's haven't shown any gains for our trucks, Hell, there's already one in your truck, it's just OEM. You might wanna give Keith a call @dirtydeeds .

Get a dirty deeds 8'' system, trust me, you'll thank me later. Your truck will immediately sound like a beast.
