I decided to buy my 2020 PRO because of the bullet proof "dinosaur" V8. My wife has a Ford FLEX EcoBoost and we have had a lot of problems with the engine. This is the same platform as the raptor and because of my experience with the Flex I decided I'd replace my 2003 Tacoma (which has been flawless) with the 2007 3UR-FE Tundra engine.

Really don't think I'll ever WANT an EV. But looks like were headed there...

The biggest question to all these EV enthusiats is that where does the majority of electricity come from? Even Michael Moore, the biggest pro -green will tell you. :facepalm:SMH

The electricity might come from "non-green" sources, but if the end efficiency is better than a gas powered vehicle and fossil fuel production than overall it's an improvement. Now whether that's the case or not, I have no idea and never researched it; but just because you have fossil fuels generating the electricity doesn't mean it's equal to a gas powered vehicle in regards to green house gases. Usually efficiency increases with scale, I would think a coal power plant generating electricity is pretty efficient compared to creating gas and exploding it in an engine, but maybe I'm wrong.

I'm thinking that using organic free range gerbils to power tiny wheels connected to tiny generators X millions is the solution. More than enough power to offset the methane that the gerbils fart....

I'm not saying any of this. What Im saying is the hypocrisy of California leaders selling one message while behind the scenes doing the opposite.
