Spent many months combing through dealer listings for a 2-3 yo used Tundra. Found a 2014 Magnetic Gray Metallic SR5 TRD double cab, negotiated a fair price and bought it.

Just so happens that I drive past a Hyundai dealership to and from my way to work every day. Same 2015 black Platinum Tundra with bed cap, 30K miles been sitting there all summer with a sticker price way outta my comfort zone.

Driving into the office yesterday I glanced over to see if it was still on the lot. It is. Dropped the sticker price by $10K! It's now priced less than I paid for my Tundra two months ago! FML!

It happens. You can’t look at it that way. You found one you liked at the price you wanted so you should be happy about that. You never would have been able to know that the price would come down.

See if they would trade you.

Even kicking in a few grand you'll have a major upgrade. I bought my 15 platinum back in November and I think I was out the door for about 40k, it had 18k miles on it. Not sure what their asking for this one but that's something to go off.

A little of this and a little of that.
Well like @COMiamiFan said, you can’t look at it that way.

Trade your Tundra in for the Platinum. MAybe you could even negotiate a little off of sticlker to make the trade more benefical to you.

However, you could always take the money you would spend for the paltinum and mod out your truck, that’s what I’d do.

Go get the damn thing. I love platinums so much and if you've even considered it, you're going to regret missing your opportunity once someone does buy it

Agree. Doesn’t hurt to ask. Worse case you leave in the same truck you came with.

I bought my 2015 from a Honda dealer. The sales guy told me the previous owner had a baby and his wife made him trade in the truck for a CRV!

I decided to keep my 2014 MGM SR5 TRD. Screw the Limited. I bought a truck because I wanted a truck. Hell, I haven't had air-conditioning in 8 years (my trade-in). And if my truck were any nicer I'd be paranoid about some superficial damage that I'd know was my fault.

Buying used meant that someone already put a few minor dents and dings (purely cosmetic), so can't blame myself.

Plus, I already have the coverking neoprene seat covers, WeatherTech floor mats, and a DU/HA for undercover rear seat storage. I just ordered a 6-1/2 foot tonneau cover to seal the deal. Sticking with what I spent months searching for and happily purchased.

Don't have time or the patience to hassle with another dealer.

    Thanks for all the advice!

I recently looked at some Limited, Pro & Platinum Tundras. Tundra Model selection & Colors were Very limited.
I decided to go the Opposite direction.
    Instead, I bought a 2008 5.7Lt SR5 & with the Money I saved I added some "Tender Vittles"....
