BSM message after installing tow mirrors.

Just installed Boost auto GM style mirrors (driver side) with BSM option on my 2020 tundra but getting messages on the dash. Have not installed passenger side yet because of the error.

BSM Malfunction, contact dearer.

Has anyone gotten this message after installing tow mirrors or do I just need to drive around more to let it recalibrate?

BSM sensors are in the rear bumper. Do the new tow mirrors not have BSM indicators?

 

Yes the mirrors have the BSM indicators.
I ordered them with BSM and it should be plug and play.

I had to swap two pins around for mine to work. Can't remember the pin numbers, but they were the pins closest to the front of the truck, had to swap the top and bottom pins around it works now. I chased this for awhile and read many threads before finding this info. Hope this helps!

 

I just bought the ebay GM style mirrors and have the exact same problem. They do have BS indicators and are supposed to be plug and play too. Were you able to find a fix for it OP? Or could @Sumo91 elaborate more and which pin did you have to switch around? I try to switch the 1 pin that just to 1 side by itself to the lower position but that doesn't help. Thanks in advance.

Boots auto walked me through removing the mirrors/cover and we found a wire that was disconnected.
After connecting the wire everything worked as plug and play.

Works good for towing but fine myself using the lower mirrors for everyday driving.

 

Nice, glad you got that sorted. I have been hesitant to order these since I definitely do not want to lose either the BSM or the heat functionality.

Question -- how much width do these add when in the compact/regular position? I am seeing about 13-3/4" on the OEM mirrors eyeballing it from the weather stripping to the very furthest edge of the mirror, e.g.
