Well, hit something in the road and broke the TRD PRO LH fog light mount. Does anyone have a non working LH TRD PRO fog light, or can you tell me how to buy just the adjuster and mount (not the bezel, the plastic part the fog light adjuster mounts to? Rigid told me to F off (nicely) and Toyota wants me to buy a whole new fog light.

The stock SR5 and other round style OEM mounts are weaker than the OE Rigid ones are. The mounts are made by Toyota either way, so, not seeing how Rigid has anything to do with this.

@Rubberdown might want to ask @Roman

I believe you do need to buy a new light unfortunately. In that case I would consider looking up how others have mounted the D series in the OE Pro bezels. A set of SAE D series will be about 250, maybe less due to black friday. They also put out more light than the OE Rigids.

Nope. 100% wrong. They are made by rigid with a rigid part number and “rigid” molded into it. Confirmed by rigid. That’s what they have to do with it. They just won’t sell any OE line parts to consumers to support their products.

I already asked Toyota cool springs via phone yesterday.

So mine had Toyota molded into the mount, not sure why yours are different.

Might get lucky and be able to get someone to sell you a light.

If not, why don’t you buy a cheap micrometer, take it apart to get dimensions, and draft up the piece online? I’m sure a member on here could print it for you or you can pay someone to print it for you. Hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new light.

Save the plans so you can sell to someone else who breaks their adjuster. (Invert to get the other side)

Sure I have it all figured out. That’s why I’m so rich. (I live with my mother FYI)

I asked if anyone had one or knew where I could get one or had one. I already have identified that I would need a new light from Toyota if I can’t find the part from another source or used.

I didn’t say f you for posting up incorrect information. Just said it was 100% wrong per both Toyota and rigid. Sorry that I offended you if I did. Sincerely. Not trying to piss in folks Cheerios.

meh. I was trying to do the whole self depreciating humor. She has Alzheimer’s. Just moved my wife and son and I in with her as she still knows how to get around her place on a good day.

clearly my attempts at sarcasm and humor on the internet do not work. But don’t fear. People dislike me in person too. :)

I’m just giving it back, nothing serious here either. I’m probably equally as dry with my sarcasm. I would recommend maybe posting a wtb in the for sale thread.

Yeah it’s common for Toyota to license other companies to make the TRD stuff. Ie fox makes the pro shocks that have Toyota branding on them, rigid makes the lights, I forget who made the BBk but it was a large brake manufacturer, magnusson made the super chargers for Toyota as well.

I have the bbk sitting in the garage at the other house but they won’t fit with 17” wheels so there they sit. They are made by stoptech.

Salk good. For 200 bucks I’d be a happy camper I can’t find a replacement for less than 315 plus tax and shipping. That galls me as my light still works.
