New to the Forum. I have a 2014 1794 edition Tundra 86,000mi live in the mountains of Colorado. Going to get new brakes. Is it worth it to go for a higher end brake pad and rotor? Haven't had any trouble with the stock but will be towing a horse trailer from now on and looking to get a slide in camper in the next few years. Suggestions?

There are lots of different opinions on brake pads. Some stay stock, other popular brands are ebc, hawk. The stock ones are rated to stop to the truck within its tow limits. Same with rotors. Some stay stock and some get cryo treated rotors. It all depends on what you want to spend too.

Also check your payload sticker before looking at slide in campers.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I've never had the issue of living in a hilly or mountainous area. If I did, I would most likely upgrade the rotors and pads, especially if I were towing often.

Centric Cryo rotors and Akebono performance pads. Or if you want fancy get the Stoptech (made by Centric) slotted Cryo rotors.
