Has anyone had any issues with brake noise? I have a 2018 that’s making a swishing noise during light braking from about 30mph to a full stop. I’ve taken it to the dealership 3 times and the noise keeps returning.

You said it returns after taking it to the dealership. Is it going away for a time after your dealership visits?

Yes i have the same on my 18 SR5. They finally heard it and resurfaced the rotors and put new pads on it. Took a few months but the issue returned. Taking it back to the dealer when i go for my first oil change. Truck has 6000 mike on it. Very annoying.

I have noisy rear brakes on my 2018 as well. New rotors and pads at 5000 miles. Noise came back at 7500 miles. Dealer is waiting on Toyota for a solution.

I also noticed a squealing noise in reverse on my 2018 TRD Sport with only 6,000 miles. Tech said pads were excessively worn and my rotors needed to be machined. I do not drive recklessly nor at high speeds, so don’t know what’s going on.

Toyota told my dealer to replace both rear axle shafts and pads and rotors. Your dealer needs to open a "technical case" with Toyota. With the technical case the dealer won't be guessing what to do. They have to do what Toyota tells them.
