See image. I am not towing anything. It just started when driving in the mountains of NC. This last time it popped up while driving down the highway. Any suggestions as to what it might be before I bring it back to the dealer.

It goes away when I shut the truck off. Should I disconnect the battery?

No that is part of the warning. The 4hi lo flash until I turn off the truck and turn it back on.

Is it common when not pulling a trailer? I searched and didn’t see anything.

I’ve seen multiple people complain of it with no trailer but haven’t seen it with the other lights on that you have on. Sorry, I didn’t notice them on when I read the OP.

    I have a repair update.

I took the truck to the dealer and they determined it was the speed sensor. The machinic did not replace the sensor but just cleaned it off. I have driven the truck over 100 miles since the repair and the lights have not come back on. Hopefully, that is the actual issue.

I took out all 4 speed control sensors front and rear tonight, cleaned them good, cleaned out all the connectors and I still have this issue. Along with the Check Blind Spot System, See dealer warning.

Okay guys and gals, I was having this issue myself, that's what brought me to this Forum. I took the truck to Peppers Toyota in Paris, Tn. today to have it checked out after I pulled all 4 tires, cleaned out all 4 sensors, and put everything back. Still had the same issue. The mechanic went for a ride with me with the diagnostic attached, got back to the dealership, put it on the rack and found the problem in like 2 seconds. I'm attaching a picture of the Rear Differential where the ABS Sensors connect. Something Ate through the wires. He reconnected the wires and the problems ALL WENT AWAY!

Just had this same problem happen to be yesterday while taking a load of trash to the dump. Parked it for the night and today all the error messages were gone. I'll have to try and get under the truck and see if there are any signs of wire/connector problems or if they need to be cleaned.

    Another update!

The issue came back and just replaced the right rear axle bearing. Not happy about the replacement as it is not cheap.
We will see if that fixes the issue. Will update the thread in a month or so from now.

Im having the same issue as the OP, same lights on & same message.

My buddy is a tech at Toyota & said he has seen rust buildup in the knuckle where the sensor bolts in.. it'll cause the sensor to swell and pull away from the magnet on the bearing.

He's bringing his scanner home to pinpoint which sensor is giving the problem then we will go from there.

    I'll post my findings.

Sure enough, both front and rear pads where the wheel speed sensor sits was full of rust. After cleaning the rust off with a cookie wheel and cleaning the rust off the sensor with some scotch-brite all is well.
The rust build up swells the sensor out just enough for it to lose the proper air gap with the magnet on the back of the wheel bearing.
