Has anyone had their BMC done by a quality shop in South or North Carolina or does anyone know of someone capable of doing one at the professional level in that area? I am located in Charleston and do not know of any place that has done one before and I do not want a disaster in my wheel wells. I would rather drive several hours for quality work. I also know a lot of quality work happens in driveways. I am not opposed to meeting someone who knows what they are doing but if it is your first time and you want to experiment, then I would politely decline your offer.

    Thank you!

I'm wondering if East Coast Gear Supply could help you out. If not for this situation than they can for other things. A solid shop with a lot of guys that know what they are doing and are enthusiasts. Good luck with your search.

You my want to try Main Line Overland in Charlotte, NC. They have three locations..PA, NH and NC. I just took my LX570 to the one in PA and they were great. I had them work up pricing for a suspension, uca, tires, sliders and other items for my 2020 platinum. When I was there we talked about adding larger tires (34/35, etc.) and if a BMC was necessary or not...depending on what you are ultimately looking to do you may or may not need a BMC. They did indicate they do BMC work all the time. There are well known in the Land Cruiser community with a great reputation. www.mainlineoverland.com

You really want to take that to a small fab shop since you will need a torch or plasma and then either TIG or wire welder. Or go to Bash Fabrication up in COLA. Guarantee he would do it and his TIG welding is beautiful.

Awesome meeting up with @BashFab today who did an amazing job on my BMC. Thank you for the recommendation @palehorse. And of course @Skey44, we missed each other by a day apparently!

Me either, but @BashFab is very creative and unique and so we said lets go for it. Now I can just pressure wash the dirt out of there. or spy on people through the holes.

Looks pretty damn decent for being welded by a guy in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt. :D :monocle:
