    I have 2018 SR5. After the last apple update (iPhone 11 pro) I’m having issues with calls connected by Bluetooth dropping randomly. I’ve done some of the things I’ve seen on here, as well as spent several hours with apple support. Today went to dealer and they updated my software in truck and I’m still having the issue of truck dropping the calls. Apple update is the 15.1.1 and they had me do the forget networks. Any help would be appreciated

    Its gotta be something with the Entune headunits. My wife is having the exact same problem in her 2018 4Runner.

    I really wish i had an answer for you. I just made a post about a similar issue, not iOS but my samsung s21 ultra has been dropping audio 4-8 minutes into every call ever since I got it mid summer. The phone and truck still act like they are connected but audio goes dead and so does the mic. I usually have to grab the phone quick and put it on speaker before the other party hangs up. I've done all the network and connection resets and even wiped and reloaded the phone from a backup and reset all the network connections again. My old phone worked fine (s10) I've seen a lot of posts about people with toyota's and lexus's having the same issue but I have not seen any fixes that worked.

    I've seen some results that people say it has something to do with the bluetooth version on the radio being too far behind (seems unlikely), or cell signal jumping from tower to tower causing the issue now with 5g. I don't daily drive the Tundra and when I do its usually mostly on weekends when im not making as many calls while driving. I was hoping the most recent software updates to android version 12 would help but still no luck.

    I have NO issues with playing audio from spotify/pandora etc. it seems to only affect phone calls. My call end button on the radio doesn't work either but I can start a call from the stereo no problem. My work car (2017 Buick) has android auto/car play and I've never had any issues like this.

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    If you have not already, delete the phone from the truck and re-pair. There have been connection issues when either the truck software or the phone software is updated. Delete and re-pair can often help.

    I will try that again, I have 3 or 4 times in the past but it did just update to android version 12. Do you have a s21 that works fine with your bluetooth?

    This. I've got the latest software (as in, I beta test), and I've only had this issue once. I completely deleted my phone from the Entune system, and deleted the Tundra from my phone; then repaired it, and I've had no issues. :)

    This is exactly what mine is doing. I’ve even mentioned the 5G swap while driving to dealer and to apple because there is one section of road that it malfunctions at every time I go through there.


    I have deleted from both phone and truck multiple times, reset all network settings with phone, even changed the name to my phone so it shows up different. I’ve done everything apple told me to try and had dealer do update on truck. I’m trying every option someone tells me to try.

    Dumb question but is telling the headunit to remove phone is that the same as deleting the phone from the entune system?

    I got a notice from Amazon saying their music service is also having issues with this update. Sounds like this update threw a curveball at more than just entune.

    i contacted apple again and after finally talking to someone, they are trying to say it’s not the phone/iOS. I even sent them the link above.

    I have a pixel 6 pro and having same issue with my 2019 entune radio. I have already updated the software in the radio provided by a Tacoma world post but still have the problem. The problem only occurs if the phone is locked. I have been able to have full conversations if I am using the phone with navigation or keeping the phone from locking itself.

    I called Toyota today and I’m 2 days out of my factory warranty. I’m having all the same issues but it sounds like they can do anything about it anyhow.

    Dealer called to ask how service went and I told them it didn’t fix problem. They said they would tell service manager but I’m pretty sure I won’t hear back from them.

    I have done all the resets that were mentioned above and issue continues. Funny thing is now when I receive a call no matter who it is the HU screen has picture of my buddy. Looks funny when my wife calls but my buddy picture shows on screen.

    Anyone have any tips for getting Alexa to work? Running Android on a 21. It shows up in apps and says listening, but never does anything past that.

    I have trouble with connecting Iheart radio to my entune I can run it through the audio bluetooth only and if i turn in Iheart first then start trucks it pairs to iheart app
    why I have tried to turn off bluetooth and re-pair the phone and entune it will not connect itself .

    Not enough, apparently...yet. This damn forum...
    Glad (not really) to see I'm not the only one having issues since the last Orchard update. Mine is with a 2017 SR5, and my GF is having issue with her 2015 4Runner Limited as well. As others have posted, music apps aren't having any issues for either of us, just calls.

    Will try the deleting/re-pairing thing to see if that works at all.

    I’m having the same issues with my 2017 Tundra SR5 and iPhone 13 Pro. I’ll be downloading the latest Apple update today; 15.1.2

    iOS 15.2.1 did not fix my issue. The call transferred back to my phone after about 4.5 minutes.

    In the last few days updated to iOS 15.3 and it seems to have resolved the problem.
