Hey folks, I have a 2015 4x4 Platinum Crewmax. The chrome bezel around the center console shifter is absolutely blinding me in the mid-day desert sun. Anyone know of a vendor who sells a replacement which is anything but chrome? I'm tired of throwing a towel or t-shirt around it to cut down the glare. Also, is it a serious pain in the butt to swap it out?

    Thanks in advance!

To remove the chrome piece is simple... First, unscrew the shift knob. Second, open the center console and locate the small gap between plastics on the front side of the opening to your center console. Then pull up and forward on the plastic piece that covers your shifter at that location. To completely remove the chrome bezel, you'll have to cut the plastic tabs on the bottom that hold it in place. I did this and color matched it to my truck and then super glued it back in place. At the same time I color matched the cup holder surround too. Plasti-dip is easier though...

tinting my windows and the 5" visor strip on the front windshield dramatically reduced that glare for me.
