I am looking to get a blind spot detection system installed on my truck. Does anyone have experience with either Advent ACABSDLP License Plate Blind Spot Detection System or Accele BSS200 Blind Spot Sensor Kit w/LED & Audible Warning? I biught the Accele system and I’m having it installed mid Feb. The only issue I see is that they will need to drill into the bed of the truck to mount the sensors. Are there any issues with this? I went to car toys to ask them about the Accele and they told me that it won’t work and that I should try their more expensive model, the Advent. I feel like that model won’t work because the license plate on the rear is recessed and blocked by the tailgate step. Am I thinking about it wrong? I still plan on having the Accele installed so please let me know if this is a bad idea or if it will cause any issues with the bed in the future.
