Blaine 18’ now 20’ Platinum Build

So backstory. Got a new position at work in 2017 as Southeast Regional Sales Manager. They pay for me to have a car so for the first time decided to buy a new car rather than a cash car. I wanted to be "practical" since my territory is Baltimore down to gulf and east coast to the Mississippi so I went to buy a sedan. Heart was set on Accord EX-L until I drove it and hated the shifter area and the dual screens with no physical buttons. I then proceeded to the Toyota lot and saw this and bought it. 2018 Camry XSE V6. It was a nice car. Drove it 10 months and 36,000 miles to learn I wanted a truck.......

 

So back to the dealership I went in Aug 18' and purchased my first Tundra. 2018 Platinum. This was the day I brought it home.

1700 miles later I added BF Goodric K02s after a stock tire blew in Virginia. I wasn't paying to put another HT on my truck. Went with 275/60/20s

I drove for 4 months controlling myself until I joined tundras.com a week and a half ago. Now Ive purchased Mirror covers and handles

I ordered the group purchase tech12volts door speakers, dash speakers and JBL sub replacement with box.

I’m rocking a 8” BAMuffler myself. One of my favorite mods!

 

I had no intention of buying yet. Called Keith just to learn more. Yes that ended with me purchasing the exhaust.

 

I love it! Dude is legit! His testimonials are all over this website. I mean who else offers a warranty where if you don’t like the sound, you just ship it back and he sends you a different one?! Insane...

Bamuffler is one of the best mods. Got an 8” myself! You won’t regret.

 

I did not. I like my chrome Toyota one believe it or not. Only chrome I'll allow.

 

It sounds way better, a nice deep rumble but not overwhelming. It reduces drone, adds a little power, especially at the low end. some say adds a little mpg but I haven't noticed that.

 

I put on the exhaust today as soon as I get home. Going to try to do low range off-road 3/1 tomorrow. It's a great week

 

BAMuffler 8" is officially installed. Incredibly easy to do and sounds great. I have not installed resonator yet but dang this exhaust sounds good!

Yes I do. I drive about 36,000 miles a year for work. Just got back from OKC today in time to put the exhaust on. Great homecoming task.

 

Exhaust is on and sounds better than expected. It was about a 30 minute install. Very easy to do.

 

Why’d you go with the 8” and not the 6”? Just curious...

 

I drive 30-36000 miles a year. 6 would just have been too loud for that much windshield time

 

How long did it take to get the exhaust after you placed the order

Doing running install thread on GB speakers and tweeters from James.

 

In the instructions James posted it covers most of the door install so I won't rehash but just share the things I ran into. He shows the tweeters connecting to the kids. HOWEVER I confirmed with him that on the FRONT doors ONLY you can connect to the factory tweeter wires as I did and pointed out in the pic. Light is positive dark is negative
