Just a side note, Those of you who live in the Denver area need to check out the Aurora Gander Mt Store that is relocating. ALL RELOADING EQUIPMENT IS 50% OFF!!!!!!. I picked up reloading dies for $22.50 and less. RCBS, Lyman, and Hornady. All reloading manuals are 50% off too. Didn't see any reloading presses left. I got a couple of large spool Okuma fly reels for $40 a piece. Perfect for AK salmon fishing. SCORE!!!!

Went shrooming yesterday near Mt Evans above Echo Lake. 11,000 ft. Exactly one year ago...lots. This year zip. Way too dry. Still took some pics.

20160731_112243.jpg Road up to Mt Evans (in the center background, can barely see it. Highest "paved" road in NA. Built in the Victorian Era for the rich folks on vacation. Pikes Peak is slightly higher but dirt/gravel road. Not too many places where you can drive a passenger car a few thousand feet in altitude "above" the tree line. (Colorado)

20160731_105244.jpg One of the few picnic areas not closed during the last couple of years. Nobody here. I've gone snow shoeing here when the picnic tables were under 6 to 8 ft of snow.

It takes me maybe an hour to get where I was Sunday from my house. I really like Oregon too, but CO won out. Colorado economy is booming. Our calibration lab is crazy busy. Down side is that CO has moved to #3 behind #2 Utah, and #1 Texas, top three states people are moving to. Downside is a lot of the new arrivals are turning our states blue. (Of course they usually come from blue states that are messed up) Go figure. Colorado isn't messed up yet. Very expensive now, but high paying engineering/tech jobs here offset that somewhat.

I have been looking at TX and CO lately..cost of living in California is crazy plus us working people get taxed a lot..and gun laws suck. I love the mountains so CO would be a good choice.

There is an acute housing shortage here. Can't build new house fast enough for demand. Needless to say construction jobs are at a premium now. Home prices are way up and going to stay that way for some time. Rental prices are becoming ridiculous too.

You also can't do a lot of aftermarket performance mods there either. Gun laws were enough to finally make me leave among a few other billion things going on there.

It's nice to be actually able to see the mountains instead of smog and sitting on the 405 or 101 going nowhere.

The best part is if you move to the right part of Colorado, you'll be in good country with LE that honor their oath. 55 of the 62 county sheriffs here sued the state over the new magazine laws, and the majority of them flat ass won't enforce them. @matluth is right on the money on the cost of living here though, cost of living in the cities along the Front Range is downright ridiculous. Even out here in the boonies housing can be ridiculously expensive.

I love shooting it off hand. Don't want a scope. I can hit pretty much everything I'm shooting at. My big game rifles are scoped except for my bush rifle.

OK................ Great weekend. Very great weekend. Got my custom exhaust installed. Took almost 4 hours. $600. Howard at Exhaust Pro is ,well, a pro. Flowmaster Super 40 Delta dual in/dual out, all new connecting pipes. Side exiting tail pipes aren't easy with the Tundra by the way. Oh, black tips. Everything WELDED, no clamp bs. (Yes not mandrel bends. So F**king what.) Go ahead you anti Flowmaster guys. Bring it on. My exhaust sounds great. Great. No drone, zero low end torque loss. I put it thru the test yesterday afternoon and today. Freeway, my neighborhood streets (around 6:00 AM...heh heh), and I drove up to Genesee Mt above Morrison/Red Rocks (I-70). 1500ft gain.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: Be happy to take anyone for a ride. Sound is kick ass.
After all that.............. Truck Fest at Bandimere. (Google it) Bandimere drag strip is over 5280ft by the way. (I'm going to use some BBQ hi temp black paint to black out the tail pipes.) I now have a real good excuse to lose the rear "chrome" bumper. Dang it...:mudding:

20160807_113709.jpg Eric's (ToyTec employee) lame ass Taco (yeah right. Taco done right. IMHO) parked a couple of rows away. Not a "Tijuana street taco." G kids and my son Kris.
20160807_120731.jpg Big ass tire. My grand daughters are there somewhere in the pic.
20160807_121024.jpg Five-R truck. Sponsor of truck fest. They had probably 8 trucks or more on display. Serious shit. Big F'ing trucks. I would have been more impressed if they lost the Toyo's and went with Cooper's.

The dump trucks were surprisingly fast and even the snow plows hauled ass. A couple of those ATV's hauled serious ass too. They only thing that sucked about yesterday was the $5 snow cone that I bought for one of my grand daughters. It took her maybe 15 seconds before she dropped it. I was still standing at the snow cone kiosk. "One more like that please" (another $5)

sure... if I could move my house to CO, and if my company moved to CO, and if my wife would tolerate another move... but it would give me a reason to own a 4x4 again :) wait, but then I would have to buy another truck. never mind... my wife would kill me :)

This weekends' project. I cancelled my original order (that was delayed) and reordered from Wheelers. Decided it's better to use approved vendors here when I'm able to. Should get here Wed. Actually I'll just go ahead and do it tomorrow after work.
