yep bank account is running low from it..

I think the difference is the supports, Mine is thicker and his is thinner(outer to inter wheel)i believe. Same design. I remember looking at those when i was going to buy. still a excellent wheel plus it has that cool no run of the mill look like everyone else has.

What is cool is that I went to Cabela's after work to pick up a couple of decent cots. I had two different people come up and ask "Who makes those rims" and "Where did you get them". A Ford and a Dodge guy. "Sorry, the BFDs are only made for my truck. Shit out of luck." That is what is so cool about these rims. Not going to see them on the "big 3" trucks.

I do need to get a set of 4 black security lugs. I forgot about that minor detail. Are your Dormans' black? McGard has a similar 4 piece set for a few bucks more but I've only seen them in chrome.

I use the dormans for all of them. Mine is 6 lugs on mine per tire.. They make them in both chrome and black. I like them it goes with the flow of the wheel.

Just a heads up if any of you are considering the FN BFD's. The new production line BFD's will not come with center caps. Will not be drilled and tapped to accept center caps. Apparently the powers that be at FN listen to their feed back. Most (99.999%) do not want the center caps and prefer the "cleaner" look. In my case , I went down to ACE and bought some black 10mm X 1.0 Hex fasteners to fix that:

    CAM00621.jpg

Also, for what it's worth, as far as what are the best looking rims on a Tundra: A couple of days before I got my BFD's , my son's friend was over and I happened to mention that I was getting some new rims. "Wow, are you going to get some 25" rims with some Gangsta tires? That would be so cool on your truck." o_O It's all relative. At least these BFD's will only be seen on Toyota's. Nothing else.

Eh no change very very little.

I do like those without the caps. On mine tho centers are needed I would look like crap without I tried it..

As I get older, not sure about ever feeling real good anymore. Your rims look good with the caps. They look smaller than the caps I have. I tried them with the caps. Sean even said "lose them" He was right............Again. :hattip:

I wised up and ordered Gorilla wheel locks from Wheelers. Totally spaced that out when I ordered the wheel nuts. Better late than never. Thanks once again to Michelle for the quick shipping $15.95 +shipping:

I'm picking up two more FN BFD's on Friday off of ToyTec owners' Tundra that were mounted in the bed for spares. Do I need two more?? I thought about it for a couple hours. Once again @Sean provided me an offer I couldn't refuse. Maybe use them for studded tires on the rear next winter?? I'm open for any suggestions. (add another axle and have a 6X6...??)

    Picked up the two new FN BFD's from ToyTec today after work. (Thanks Sean, Doug (seller of the rims), and Dylan. Time for Matt's common core rim math. Sold the Series 1 XD Monsters that came with my Tundra on Craig's for $450. Made the post on Craig's at 9PM. Woke up in the morning and I had to sort out all the responses. Rims were picked up before noon. Too cheap you say?? FN will ship BFD's to your door for $300 per rim. I now have six BFDs. FN cost =$1800. I paid $800 for six. Got $450 for the XD's ,which were/are very cool. New Matt math: $800-$450=$350 for 6 BFD's=Happy camper;
New FN's I picked up today (were two spare rim/tire combo mounted in the bed of Doug's bad ass ToyTec Tundra:

    CAM00626.jpg

The ToyTec Tundra appears to have a complete set of XD Monster Series 2 rims now with Cooper STT Pro's. The money I spent today was for INSAIN cab mount mod. Will have to wait another month to get that done. 35 STT's next. Hopefully before fall hunting season. [IMG]

(Now where is my money tree?)

Went to my local Trader Joe's today. Always a bitch to park since all spaces are apparently made for Prius'/and the elusive GM Volt. ( I guess I'm only supposed to drink beer, eat wild game meat and potato's with gravy since I'm white, an old fart at 60, and drive a big 4X4 truck, (which is pretty much true..heh heh) I had to park on a side street a couple of blocks away. A 2010 Dodge Ram parked right behind me. An elderly black gentleman and wife got out of the Ram and came right up to me and said......"Nice lookin truck, bet that goes anywhere". I say " Pretty much, but I have gotten it stuck once or twice and it's usually a bitch". Shook hands and said" Lets go see what brewskies are on sale. Good deal on brats and Irish cheddar too."

By the way, I'm going on VACA soon. Working VACA on my little 5 acre plot near Ft Garland, CO. Dirt/gravel roads at 8300 ft. I like the cool look of my Nittos hanging out, but will hate the multitude of rocks getting thrown up, chipping off my paint and hitting me in the face. Not to mention all the rocks hitting my trailer. Cool looking is only cool up to a certain point. I like Bushwackers, but a little pricey. I like the look of Stampede Ruff Riderz and price is more doable since I'm on a budget. (Not a cheap budget, I do want something decent.) Anybody have these?? PICs? I can get them for $290 ish: http://www.stampedeproducts.com/Products/Fender-Flares.asp

There actually was a complete unused set of Bushwackers on CL. Seller was asking pretty much full price and they were custom painted >>>>>mica
