@memario1214 I want to get a DD 30” stealth bar, but I want to mount it behind the grill on my 18’ sport. Would the supplies brackets work to do this, or would the universal bracket be better?

Unfortunately, no Prinsu yet. One of the lines that we hope to pick up early 2022, but the stars just didn't align for us leading up to the holiday here!
We can absolutely help you out on the lighting portion though!
Glad you asked! We've actually been quietly testing out different mounting bracket options out there due to the deflection complaints of some members with DD brackets. The best one that we have found so far is the Cali Raised LED one. I'm not a fan of Cali's lighting options by any means, but their in-house production metal work is pretty good. The only thing is that their brackets are designed for a 32" bar so you'll need to find a little spacer/longer bolt to close the gap, or get really strong and bring the metal ears in. Results that have come back are that they are holding the DD bar nice and solidly in place.

If that's a path you'd like to pursue just let me know as I can get those brackets (at the 15% off to boot)! I'll try to get them uploaded into the site in the next day or two anyway.

I shot you a PM on this, but it's probably good info for the larger group - will the DD 42" bar fit in the hood bulge on 2014-2021 models? It looks like it'll fill the gap a little better than the BD S8 40", but wasn't sure if it'd be too wide.

I guess I should have been more specific haha. I want to mount it higher up behind the grill, and not in the lower bumper. Just trying to figure out which bracket system would work best. Unless the Cali one would work as well. Haha.

So, just to be clear, the picture you posted, is that the 42" DD bar or is that the 30"? I wanted the 42" DD in that location, but do I need the Cali Raised LED mounts, or is the DD original good enough? Worse case, have my wielder neighbor wield it solid.....lol

From a "profile" perspective I don't see why not. However, there's currently no bracket built specifically for it to house a DD bar. I have a set of SDHQ brackets right here, and I don't see why the ears couldn't be bent back a bit to handle a bar that is slightly longer. I wish I could tell you with some confidence that it would. You were confident enough to hack up a pair of taillights... Buying a new bulge ain't no thing if you nuke it.
    S8-40-Inch-Assembly-1.jpg stage_series_42_inch (1).jpg

Oh! Definitely misunderstood. This "guidance" I gave was for those doing the 30" Stealth light bar in the lower bumper section. As for a bracket setup for the grill area there is a DD SAE light bar kit for that area, that "MAY" address this with the brackets. @SAGE63 don't suppose you could measure between the outermost brackets to see if someone could sneak a light bar in there?

So the photo I posted is of a 30" Stealth setup. The 42" bars have some of the same complaints from folks, and people have addressed it in multiple ways. I will say though if your neighbor has a welder he can tack on a support piece where the OEM bracket turns the corner and it would be rock solid... That and you punch a small hole and run a secondary bolt into the threaded portion on the back of the stage series light bar and you'll be all good. I can dig up the threads where people were fixing these little things, and it sounds like you're comfortable and capable enough to knock it all out!
Yeah... I think you've probably earned that right...

Definitely interested in the brackets for behind the bumper if it becomes available. If I can limit the amount of times I have to input information that would be great:rofl:

@memario1214 the measure is approximately 40" I little bending on each side should fit. If you check the brackets in the kits you will see there is some angle to play with.

I know you’re neck deep in orders at this point, but do you have an approximate ETA on the DD 30” stealth bar - Amber/Driving?

Absolutely do! If I was a betting man we chatted already today!
:anonymous: I wear a decent sized trenchcoat... What can I say?
Haha had no idea this was you. Good chatting today! If it sounded like I was all over the place... well... I am! :D
Neck deep is a good problem to have. I'm all over the place, but I will 1000% take any support for Hotshot I can get so no worries! I am FRESH OUT of amber driving bars already (had way more SS30 light bar orders than I anticipated!) so based on the build schedule your kit should be at your doorstep in approx 3-4 weeks per DD's advisement to me. Sorry about the delay!
