My front struts are starting to leak and need to be replaced. Want to level it out with 6112's if I can find them. I have a 2wd truck. Looked high and low in the forums saw lots of 4wd settings but not 2wd.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated, the wife is getting made cause I'm leaking all over the driveway.

Also if anyone knows where they have 6112's in stock that would also help!

    Semper Fi,

    Mark.

Appreciate the info. Looking for a real-world install and how level it would be. I mostly see folks setting em at 1.9" but those are all 4x4 installs.

You can probably expect yours to be a little higher at the same clip setting due to less weight up front. You might get the actual advertised numbers where a 4wd will sag a little. I’ve noticed no 2 trucks are the same though.

The 4x2 settings in the chart are spot on for me, at the top setting I got 3.3" and lowered it 1 down and got 2.7". The driver side will be a little lower though because of weight.

They go on Thursday. I didn't order a spacer so hoping it doesn't need it. I asked at the installer shop and they didn't seem to think it would need it.

No, but a lot of other members install shims with it to level it out

I'm not an expert. I would follow what they are telling you then. I'm having a RL kit removed and dropping it down for towing, so it won't be level. Not sure if that matters. It'll clear my NRG 275s and give me a slight rake.

My bad, I should've explained it better, the shim is to level out the front passenger and the driver side because the drivers side always leans more.

Understood. That would mean all trucks come from the factory with the lean! Anyone know if this affects all cab styles as well as all fuel tank sizes? Seems there would be some differences depending on these different configurations.

Not all come with a lean bad enough to put a shim. Mines was like an 1/8 off from one side to the other. A shim in my case would have not fixed anything and made it worse. None of the 3 tundra I have owned, 2 DC and 1 CC, have had a lean bad enough to add a shim. As for configurations is concerned, only differences I would see that makes a difference is the larger glass tank.

The driver side springs are a little heavier to compensate for the driver and fuel in tank but what happens when the tank gets low on fuel. I just got a fat girlfriend and feed her accordingly.

OK. I know, not the most popular setup but got 6112s on the front today at second clip or 1.3. 5160s are on the back. Tires are Ridge Grappler 275/70R18s. No rubbing or trimming. Best I can tell it has a 1/8 inch driver's side lean, however my gas tank is full, if that matters.

Got ‘‘em installed. Ordered from wheelers took about 2 weeks to get ‘em.

Need advice now on new tires. Would like to keep my stock 20” platinum wheels though
