Ok, so I'm looking to replace my worn out front coil overs. I have seen there a ton of people running the 6112's and for the most part people seem to like them. I do not see much on the 2.0's. My concern is that the digressive valving will be not a smooth as the progressive valving of the 2.0. From what I understand the 6112's can be harsh at slower speeds and better at faster speeds, whereas the 2.0 will be better at slower speeds and decrease at higher speeds. Is it worth jumping up to the 2.0's for a better ride or will the 6112's be just fine?

Lots written on both setups in the suspension forum here. Search function is in upper right. Plenty of pics, reviews, etc on 6112s and Toytec on this site.

I think 2.0s are too small for these trucks.
I suggest taking a look at Falcons they are far better riding than the 6112s.

Thanks for the input, I have read plenty on these setups and like I mentioned there was not a lot on the 2.0. There is a ton on the 2.5.

I know people have been having a very hard time getting ahold of a pair of 6112s. Toytecs are usually in stock.

originally set at top setting, ride was terrible! Dropped it down one setting and a-lot better. If i had to do it over i would order custom tuned fox from somewhere. Ride is not better than factory for sure

Have 5100 in rear with shackle at 1 inch hole. Truck looks level, but almost 3/4 rake. Which is good for towing stuff

sorry to hear that. if you got custom tuned Fox, that would have been way more expensive, right? i guess you're talking about the basic Fox coil-over product? similar to the 6112 (..but better)?

got any pics you can post?

some folks are saying the 6112's ride too rough and a lot of folks seem to like them. i'm 75% pavement but some camping and light off road use, nothing crazy. i'm a little concerned about so many saying they ride rough on-road

There are many trucks here with the 6112's and not many complaints. It does seem that everyone that has the Fox setup likes the ride.

Not a bad ride, just not what i was expecting for the money. Dropping ride height helped alot! I bet if i dropped down 1 more it would even better, but i like the look and stance.

I installed Toytec 2.5 coilovers not too long ago and I am very impressed with the ride. I was worried the on road performance would be harsh but it is better than stock for sure at soaking up the bumps and potholes.

I’m about 2 3/4 inch of lift up front and 1 inch in the rear.

I have JBAs sitting in a box waiting to be installed. I’m hoping to be able to get some time to install them this weekend.

One of the primary reasons for installing aftermarket UCAs after a lift is to help achieve a better alignment. Many say anything above 2.5 inches will benefit from new UCAs. Currently with my stock UCAs my caster is pretty low, the JBAs will correct that.

I just got my 6112s at 1.9", CB shims, JBA UCAs, and CB 20210929_182020.jpg +2 (1.25") shackles all installed. I moved to Method 701s 18×9 +25mm offset with 35×12.5 Toyo Open Country AT3s. Did not have to do BMC with this setup and the ride is much smoother than stock.

I got the the toytec 2.0's set at around 2 ish inches, Toytec rear shackles on lower setting and Toytec IFP rear shocks.

At first I was not impressed with the ride. But, after proper break in by bajaing some Wyoming dirt roads and just driving my truck the ride is excellent I'd say.

Yeah, they're not King's or ADS's but for a thousand bucks I like em'.
