So I plan on lifting just the front of my 2019 SX to match the Pro height. I have no plans on spending the $3000 on the Pro setup so trying to get close to it.

I will be running stock size tires 275/65R18 Duratracs(already on) with the Stock Pro wheels. No spacers or anything.

I would like to lift the front to level it out and people seem to be happy with the 6112/5160 combo but something that keeps popping up for me is the Fox 2.0 Performance set up.

The biggest difference I see here is 6112's go to 2.5" lift vs the Fox is 2" lift. I know that 1 is digressive and 1 is progressive.

My question is if I am doing light off-road for hunting/fishing on dirt roads but nothing crazy and mainly just commuting to and from work. Which of these set ups are better for me. The Bilstein setup is a bit cheaper than the Fox. Links below

Between those 2 i would choose fox. It is rebuildable and ride height is easier to adjust to exactly where you want jt

I personally like my Bilstein setup, but I think that fox would be better if you have the budget for it

I ran both of them, Fox is better imo.. Much stronger construction, aluminum bodies(Bilstein look like poo after 2 winters), the ride is better, adjustable, can be rebuilt(so can Bilstein, but nobody does), and the rear shocks are way better than 5160. Get less lift though, might be important.:notsure:

Appreciate the input from everyone. I was leaning towards Fox and I think I am going to go that way. The ride is more important to me than $200 savings. I’m not worried about the amount of lift as the only thing I ever want to do is level the truck out. I’m not a lift guy at all, my other vehicle is a lowered 2003 Celica. And I only lowered it because the stereo system in the trunk dropped the rear so much that I had to lower the front so it didn’t look awful.

I have a set of Coachbuilder 1" shackles. if I went with the Fox set up with the 2" front raise, can I do so without changing control arms etc? 2015 Crewmax with 90K aprox miles, original shocks...time for a change.

@Steakbomb does your truck currently have the TRD yellow and blue Bilstein shocks? I've ordered the Fox 2.0 for the rear to replace mine in hopes they'll help with the concrete road hop. The pair is for sale on Amazon for $187, so figured it's worth a try. I'd like to replace the fronts with the Fox performance 2.0s as well to get a little height and better ride there too but hardly any reviews of these that I can find where they specifically mention they replaced the yellow n blue Bilsteins. If you get them, let us know your impressions :)

I ordered front/rear Fox 2.0 last week. Having it installed Monday morning. Had to buy new leaf packs with shackles and bushings too because the stock setup is already sagging and I was also getting the rear hops.

@realtorblake Excellent! What shocks are you currently running? I should have the rear 2.0s next Tuesday. What shackles did you go with?

The coilovers are stock, the rears are Zone's that came with my lift. OME (Dakar) springs, shackles and poly bushings.

Currently my truck just has base shocks, not TRD. Wasn't worried about getting TRD package as I wanted the SX package for the color matched hood bulge, grill surround, bumpers, and the old PRO wheels.

If you go over 2 inches in the front you’re gonna need to lift the back otherwise you’ll be nose high.

My plan is to probably get the Fox setup and just go the full 2” with a .5” shim on the drivers side to eliminate the bro lean. I don’t haul anything super heavy so I am not worried about sag in the rear. Just want to level it out and increase the ride while hunting/fishing on back roads. I will also be getting the front and rear TRD sway bars to install at the same time and install greaseable cam bolts.

Get the spc cam bolts with the sleeves. Those things are beasts. The stock cam bolts stripped on mine while adjusting after my icon lift was installed. You get a lot of extra adjustment out of those compared to OEM.

Do the SPC bolts have grease fittings? My main concern is them rusting solid. I used to do alignments at my old job and after 60k they took breaker bars to move because of the rust.

No SPC cam bolts. Can’t be torqued to factory spec, and they do not have more adjustment. They are flimsy at best. Guarantee they tried turning the wrong end of the cams, strips every time.
Cant use hollow bolts with grease fittings, they are not strong enough.

They are not more flimsy than the stock bolts. Holding them both side by side they are night and day different.

Well they worked for me. To each there own.

It’s ok, they are way weaker. You aren’t reducing the diameter of that bolt without weakening it, and that’s what you now have. I have tried many SPC products, all complete rubbish.

Actually I don’t have it. Toyota does with the buyback of my 2018 platinum. All good.

Installed the Fox 2.0 shocks on the rear last week. I have only driven it a few times but the difference is remarkable. They really smooth out the bumps instead of the jarring/bouncy ride it used to have. While I can easily compress and extend the yellow & blue Bilsteins with my hands, it took nearly my body weight to compress the Fox. While installing, make sure you leave the band on them and mount the bottom first, then line up the stud with the hole and cut the band. If you don't it's a PITA to compress them to get the stud end in (could probably fasten the stud first and then use a jack to compress the bottom into position).

I think I'm going to buy the roost shields for them. In only 18K miles, the Bilstein on the driver's side was severely pitted. The passenger side only had one little section pitted because the axle mount protected it. Hopefully they'll fit.

I can't wait to drive more... especially the concrete section of interstate that I used to dread because the ride was so bad.
