For those who ordered online ebay/Amazon and installed their own how do get warranty? Do you return it to the site you ordered it from or bilstein. It says from bilstein site to fill out a form and send with shocks, but what do you use while your waiting for the new shocks!!

I went through this twice when I had my Tacoma. 2 rear shocks leaking bad on 2 separate occasions and I never wheeled the truck. I ordered mine from downsouth motorsports and Sonny took care of the warranty details, but they have to be sent to bilstein for them to approve or deny warranty. If your truck is a daily driver you'll have to purchase new, install, then send the old in to hopefully be reimbursed. Only shocks I've ever busted were the 5100's....I'm not a fan

I have seen a ton of the 5100's sent back due to leaks.

yeah, sounds like I just to buy local. ebay told me to go back to bilstein, Amazon says go back to seller. Looks like online I'm going to get the run around.
