Will hopefully get to burn in the lower shock mounts, mount shocks, install axle side of the SDHQ traction bar, install bump contact pads at the same time, mount the bump cans and tune! but all of the hard work is done…

I’ll crank in a wee bit more front lift after it settles and I have my trail weight in the bed…

    more updates to follow…

    Cheers!

Man I need to go look at my exhaust and make sure it isn't eating into stuff. I left the rear hangers and dumped right in front of the spare tire but I don't know if it can move around that much or not. I like your truck man! How are your your u748s holding up? I am getting to be real leery of Deaver any more. Did the SDHQ kit get rid of axle wrap and subsequent vibration on acceleration? I want that kit, its just pricey.

    Thanks you for the compliment.

So far so good, road manners of the 748's are currently in break-in mode to get things to settle in, but I have noticed a very large improvement in on-road manners.

As for the SDHQ kit, I personally feel there is noticeable difference in the rear end stability under accel and decel conditions.

I'm waiting to get an off-road shakedown and tuning session this upcoming weekend to really assess the improvements gained by this upgrade.

    Thanks,

    -JS

Also how old are they? Have they not been to a concert ever? Plenty of fullys at my first concert, I was a young pup, the smell of devils lettuce in the air, while listening to gold finger and cypress hill. Pretty sure I saw my friends mom……..

I was torn on this, evil or ss built mounts. But i like having the option for dedicated "mono-band" antennas and maintaining DOT compliant vehicle lighting to keep the legal eagles happy...

    Communication Upgrade:

    HLD:
    upload_2023-2-21_11-48-57.jpg

Circuit design allows radio to have master power control via vehicle's accy circuit from the vehicle ignition cylinder:
    • Prevents radio from inadvertently being left on. Radio has software control but felt that master power control would help alleviate any possible idle drain.
    • Since the delayed turn on circuit is triggered by the truck's "accy" circuit. During cranking the "accy" circuit de-energized and turns off the radio, when vehicle is no longer cranking, "accy" circuit is re-energized triggering the 5 second count-down timer before energizing the relay and energizing the radio. This is to protect the radio from current spikes...Note* radio power on status is stateful, if the radio was "on" before "key in accy"/cranking, the radio will power on after the relay is energized. If the Radio was "off", the radio will remain off after "key in accy"/cranking.

Getting the OE 3rd brake light out isn't for the faint of heart, removing the OE double sided tape "gasket" was an exercise of patience...but here is the prepped opening.

Giving the Rugged Radio stealth antennas a shot. Should be good nuff, will be ordering 1/2 wave whip antennas as well should I find my self in need of some extra range…

Pulled apart the ICOM mic to determine how to get a mag mount to work. Ended up drilling through the plastic boss on the right side and simply threaded a screw into the plastic boss for now (parts came from a Mob Armor "Mobnetic Go").

    Very clean com install.

random question: Did you have to extend your rear brake lines with that much rake/travel? Or is that not a worry once your spares go in to add weight?
