Anyone have any tricks to remove tree sap from a tonneau cover? Soap and water just isn't doing it. Thanks

WD 40 on the cover if its vinyl. On the paint Goof Off works great. I just wash the area and re-wax to be safe. I have a vinyl cover and I never used Goof Off cause I never have sap on it. If you try it be careful for fading etc, not sure if it will or not. Hope this helps.

I use rubbing alcohol on the paint or glass.

WD40 works great even on the paint. Had a pine tree in front of a house for awhile and did this often.

Never knew that about the dryer sheets. It's on the cover so maybe i'll give WD40 a try. just didn't want to fade it, it's on the vinyl.

Pine tree sap is pretty easy using alcohol. The 91% isopropyl from Walmart or CVS works very well. It will melt in a few seconds of rubbing (even old dried stuff), but try not to rub more of an area than you need as it spreads a thin film of sap that still requires alcohol to dissolve. I typically use three paper towels for the initial dissolve, heavy cleanup and finally the finish as it isn't pulled into a cloth/towel as much as other things you might be used to cleaning up. Don't spare the alcohol.
