Hi…..I am new to forum. I just purchased the Coachbuilder TRD Pro Kit for my 2016 Tundra TRD Pro. I also purchased the Bora 1.25” wheel spacers, as I am staying with my OEM Pro rims for now. The final decision is tire size. I am going with BFG KO2’s, so I am down to a 35x12.50 or 305/65. I have seen a couple Pro’s here in Nashville with the Kit and 35x12.50’s. I think they look great, and David says they will fit just fine. I would just like some input from anyone who has the same kit and tires for some feedback on clearance, etc. before I pull the trigger in the next couple days. Thanks!

Thanks for the link to your build......very nice setup. I am actually adding the LED headlights now as well. I am still mystified as to why they put the halogen lights in the TRD Pro back then, but I am upgrading finally.

I have no problem doing a cab mount chop if necessary. Thanks for the input.

I’d go 35s personally. And no problem yes the stocks halogens were horrible the new LED sport lights are pretty dam good very happy with those.

I put everything on this weekend.....kit, tires, lights. It rides great, looks great and no rubbing. The only issue I can notice is the driver side seems to be lower than the passenger side? I measured it out, and it confirmed my suspicion. I will search the site as well, as it seems like I saw a thread discussing that. It appears to be about an inch difference?

Yes that's the dreaded Toyota "Lean" from the fuel tank..battery...etc, that is on the drivers side of the truck.

Wow....close to 1 inch even on a TRD Pro? I did not feel like I noticed it before I put the kit on? CB Kit is so simple....just shim right on top of strut without changing anything.

I will post some picks shortly.....right now, this dang 1" difference is driving me crazy.

Did you remove the shocks completely when you did this? The Pro shocks are specific L to R for exactly that "lean". Could they have gotten switched?

Other option is put one shim on the left, and two on the right.

I have the same setup and I'm dead level with full 3"lift.

I “believe” as I’m not 100 sure that the shims are 1 per side, as in a solid piece unlike before when he would send 4 shims total so you could do 2 on the driver and 1 on the passenger

    Correct
The PRO kit is 1 shim per side.
Just thinking of options for leveling for the OP

The shop did tell me that they did not completely remove the shocks. Is there an easy way to confirm this myself...meaning make sure they were not switched? I was thinking the same thing, but I felt like I was insulting them by asking. I am going by the Dealer tomorrow for a review. 1" is just too much for me. Could add another shim on driver side or replace shocks that are adjustable I guess (but hate to waste money).

Yeah something seems off.....and I think @Toyotoholic might be on to something with whoever did the install switched them side to side, but if the shop says they didn’t remove them...I’m baffled as well

Toyota Dealership is telling me the Driver side strut has been adjusted up (base or perch ring of the coilover spring moved up). The mechanic (who does lots of lifts on new Tundras there) is telling me that this has actually caused there to be less tension and therefore sag or something? Anyways, I plan to question him directly for further explanation...not computing for me. While I am learning, I am not a novice on truck suspensions. I can tell you the higher passenger side is certainly different when I look at that same base/perch. I also looked under 3 TRD Pros on the lot, and both sides were identical (unlike mine). However, I looked at my old brochure from 2016, and the picture of the strut /coilover is identical to mine (appears to be "adjusted up") I have not adjusted mine, so I have to think my TRD Pro came that way. Still confused.....see attached pictures with comparison if you care to opine.

Check the part numbers on your shocks. They are different coil overs with one going on the Left Front and the other Right Front.

Have you called David? Something is fishy

Sorry for such a late response. I ended up replacing the driver side coilover spring at the dealership after a lengthy inspection and discussion. This did remove most of the lean I was experiencing...at least put it within the "acceptable" spec. It was about an inch off when I first put the kit on, but it is now within .25 inches or less per their measurements with the new coilover.
