Hi guys. First timer here. I just leased a 2019 black crewmax tundra sport4x4and it’s my First truck ever. So I need some help. Where will I get the best price on bak mx4. Or gator fx3. Is it worth paying the extra money for mx compared to fx3 since this is only a two year lease.

I didnt even know what you wjere talking about I had to look it up. Those are some pricey truck bed covers. I personally wouldn't invest in one for those processes on a lease unless I knew for sure I was going to buy the truck after or get the same bed size on another truck. Just my 2 cents.

    Hey welcome from Indiana!

Thanks @Mnorris1206. I need a tonneau cover for sure to make sure I can have my things secure in there. You are right the 2 year lease is the reason I don’t want to throw away so much money. What do you recommend

Well I'm still old school so I just have the ol tri fold on my truck but I never really have much I need to keep safe in the bed maybe some campfire wood. But I do see your point on this I didnt really think about if you have something to big to fit in the cab that you would have to lock it makes sence. Other then that not sure. I just know my wife leases it makes sence for her. But we dont do anything more then window tint on her cars but a truck is a little different for sure.

Thanks @Jas4tundra I will check them out. I like the way aluminum finish looks. In my initial research I found tyger only had vinyl finish. But it will save me $500 or so. I will check it out again.

I have the Mx4 on mine, but would never spend that kind of money for a 2 year lease. How secure do you need it? Will a soft tonneau work for you?

I don’t think the soft one will work. Plus I’d like it to be flush. You are right though it’s a lot of money for a 2 year lease.

I think Undercover makes a relatively cheap one that seems to get good reviews.
If you are looking for a nice one without dropping too much coin, you might consider searching for a used one on Craigslist, etc.

I checked Craigslist nothing there but got quoted 1460 installed for both mx4 and Nfab epyx running boards.

That’s not bad. Up to you on what you want to spend. I’d do the running board install yourself though and save some money. Literally a couple of bolts on each side of the truck. Can be done in about 25 minutes in your driveway. Maybe faster if you had a second pair of hands.

I had an MX4 on mine but was very disappointed in the quality. Leaks, rust, dents. I sold it as quick as I could and got a Diamondback. That’s not your question though: think about your needs and then think about resale. A 2 year old cove should fetch you $500. Sell it!!

I bought my mx4 off of a guy named Josh Hesson he's on the Tundra group on Facebook. Gave me the best deal I could find at the time. When I buy my steps, I will be going through him as well. No reason to pay someone to install either one, as long as you are able to tighten some bolts you can install either one.

Tyger makes an aluminum hard trifold cover for around $500 on Amazon. It works with the bed rail system as well. I am still up in the air if I want to do LineX or hard trifold with a bed mat.

Got the mx4 and go rhino rb20 for 1375 installed. I couldn’t find anything for less than that. Unless I ship and install my self. The difference was about $100 if I installed it myself
