I use a battery powered blower first however looking for the best towel to buy. I have purchased some drying towels from Walmart but they are crappy? Any suggestions?

I forget the brand but I have a big fat double thick drying towel. Actually I have three of them. I pick them up at some auto parts store a while back. Super thick and super absorbent. One side is a heavy pile and the other is more dense and fine.

Griots pmf is hands down the best I have used. Autogeek had a slightly smaller version in their clearance section for a reasonable price.
The rag company double twistress is a solid towel as well.
I also have some decent waffle weave towels that work ok but for me the griots is king, even the smaller version will do a tundra without ringing it out

All microfiber towels including drying towels should be washed in hot water with microfiber detergent/restorer and dried on low to no heat. Do not wash your towels with other laundry, do them alone, even if you have to keep a separate dirty MF towel hamper and wait til you have enough to do a load
Never use fabric softener or dryer sheets. You can use regular laundry detergent and add some white vinegar. Just be sure its just plain old detergent, no scents or softeners. I like griots foam pad and microfiber soap.

Meh I like a few of there things, most of it seems to be hyped up and not so great. A lot of their products seem to do the same thing with a different name or scent or cool looking bottle.

@SouthBoundSteve told me about MF detergent. I was amazed when I tried it out. How clean it got the towels, even stubborn waxes and sealants. But the biggest thing is how they are still absorbent and perform as good as new

Definitely worth buying the detergent. Makes a huge difference. Oh and I only wash MF with MF, I don't wash any MF towels with anything else in the washer, I save up all my MF towels til I have enough to do a small load

One more vote for Griots PFM. Very expensive, but nothing better. Rag Company Double Twistress is more budget friendly, and comes in second place.

Then use a cheap microfiber towel to dab the trails that always appear under my mirrors, from the gas door and from the rear door windows. These fancy ones look nice, could save me gas.

Ive been using this product for ~23 years and nothing compares to it in my view point. I feel microfiber catches too many fine particles a pain in the ass to keep clean. One drop on the ground with a microfiber and you will be picking crap from them for the next 10 years. I'm sure everyone has their favorite product, but if your looking for something don't pass this one up. https://www.amazon.com/Arnold-Water-Sprite-Synthetic-Chamois/dp/B002INTCHY
